The STC58 introduces thermal drills for sheet metal.

We are pleased to present to the professional community the thermal drill of the STC58 brand, an innovative solution for making holes in thin-sheet materials. Thermal drilling technology opens up new opportunities in metalworking and allows for significant optimization of production processes.

What is thermal drilling?

Thermal drilling is an advanced method of producing holes for joining thin-sheet materials, which is radically different from traditional methods. Unlike classical drilling, the technology allows you to get a hole with a ready-made hardened sleeve, which is an ideal base for subsequent threading for the connector.

Advantages of the STC58 thermal drill

Our thermal drills are made of a hard alloy (tungsten carbide) and have a number of significant advantages:

  • suitable for making through holes for threads in thin-walled metal (from 1 mm): profile and round pipes, sheet metal, etc.;
  • compatible with drilling and milling machines, as well as with CNC machines;
  • versatile: suitable for processing all types of metals, including stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminum;
  • reduce the number of technological operations - there is no need to further strengthen the hole area;
  • eliminate the formation of chips during operation;
  • increase the strength of the joint by forming a reinforced sleeve.

Assortment: two types of drills for different tasks

Our company offers two types of thermal drills - choose a tool for specific production tasks:

  • Standard drill bit. When processed with this drill, an annular collar is formed on the metal surface. It is optimal for situations where the collar does not interfere with further assembly or performs an additional function in the structure.
  • Undercut drill (with 2 or 3 teeth). Allows you to cut the annular collar on the outer surface of the metal after receiving the hole. Ideally, if a flat surface around the hole is important or strict dimensional alignment is required.

Scope of application

The STC58 thermal drills will find application in a wide variety of industries:

  • mechanical engineering;
  • production of metal structures;
  • automotive industry;
  • manufacture of household appliances and electronics;
  • construction and repair;
  • small-scale and mass production.

Choose STC58 thermal drills to increase the efficiency of your production and the quality of your products!
