	Cutting Cutting materials quickly and economically is required in many areas of our customers' business. In addition to durability, safety also plays an important role when using high-speed grinding tools. Our cutting tools, manufactured in accordance with the oSa directives and the European safety standard EN 12413, are characterized by the highest level of safety.

oSa® - a dedicated center for the safety of abrasives

Klingspor is a co-founder of oSa® (Organization for the Safety of Abrasives). The Abrasive Product Safety Organization is a voluntary association of manufacturers of abrasive products. They are committed to complying with European standards for the safety of abrasive tools and stricter manufacturing and testing regulations. OSa® confirms these obligations in the form of a worldwide protected trademark, which is placed on the products. For users, it symbolizes a higher level of safety in use, and for dealers - a reduced risk of liability.

From a small glue factory to a world-renowned family business

Since our founding in 1893, we have built a history of modern grinding technology through numerous innovations. High speed cut-off and roughing discs, flap heads and flap discs are just a few of the abrasives we developed and subsequently put into series production.

Our production sites

Haiger, Germany Klingspor was founded in 1893 by Johann Friedrich Klingspor as an adhesive factory in Siegen. In 1899, the company began to produce abrasives. Subsequently, many innovative products have been introduced to the market, such as waterproof sanding paper and flap discs. In 1955, the company, together with the production plant, moved to the Hessian city of Haiger, which is located about 30 km from Siegen. The central office of the concern is also located here. Today, the factory has an area of ​​82,000 sq. m. employs about 600 employees.

Bielsko-Biala and Kozy, Poland Klingspor Spolka z.o.o. was founded in 1995 in the small town of Kozy as Klingspor's first international manufacturing facility. Two years later, production was launched here. In 2005, a new production site was opened in Bielsko-Biala, 10 km away. The administrative office is located here to this day. Both factories employ nearly 900 employees. In 2016, Kozy celebrated a special anniversary: the production of the billionth cut-off wheel.

Qingdao, China Klingspor's manufacturing site in the Chinese port city of Qingdao was founded in 2005. Two years after the foundation stone was laid for the new plant, production started and the first products were exported. At a factory with an area of 24,000 sq. m. employs about 150 employees.

Velikie Mosty, Ukraine In 2008, in the Ukrainian city of Velikiye Mosty, a production facility with an area of 3,000 square meters was founded. m. Now about 200 employees work here. Since 2015, the plant has begun production of high-quality Klingspor diamond tools using the most modern equipment park.
