Outboard type shot blasting unit DPU (Y/IF) 2530-4MD
It is designed for high-performance abrasive cleaning of metal products from various types of surface contaminants: rust, scale, welding deposits and oxidation products.
It contains 4 filter elements.

The sequence of the processing process:
- Loading:The product is fixed on a conveyor suspension with a rotating system and fed into a closed working chamber.(The entrance portal is protected by curtains made of wear-resistant rubber).
- Processing:The rotation cycle starts. Throwing devices feed the shot directionally at an adjustable angle.
- Abrasive recycling:The spent shot is fed through a collection funnel to a screw conveyor (auger), then a bucket elevator (noria) transports it to the separation system. There, the whole fraction is separated from the contamination, accumulates in the hopper and returns to the throwers through the metering valve.
- Discharge:After the set time has elapsed, the process stops automatically and the finished product is removed from the chamber.
Automation:The high level of automation of the installation guarantees stable cleaning quality and minimizes fraction consumption.
Equipment
- Screw conveyor:The screw conveyor is designed to transport abrasive from the hopper of the chamber to the elevator-separator system. The drive is implemented through a geared motor with a reserve of power. The working screw is made of manganese wear-resistant steel with progressively increasing pitch, which prevents material compaction and guarantees reliable start-up without overloads. The rotating units are equipped with double protection: labyrinth-cuff seals of the supports and dust-proof casings, ensuring tightness and safety in conditions of high abrasive dust content.
- Shot-blasting devices (throwers).:designed to work with steel abrasives with a fraction size from 0.5 mm to 3.5 mm and with a hardness of HRC 45-51. During the operation of the blasting turbine, the shot falls from the feeder into the impeller, which rotates together with the impeller (rotor). The impeller accelerates the fraction trapped in it and, through the window of the distribution chamber, which remains stationary, ejects the fraction of the rotor blade. Under the action of centrifugal force, the shot moves along the blades and is fanned out of the turbine at a speed of up to 90 m/s.
- Electromechanical screw separator:The separator is designed to clean the contaminated abrasive mixture coming from the blasting chamber from dust, scale and mechanical impurities. The contaminated shot is fed into the separator body through the inlet. Under the action of the vacuum created by the centrifugal fan, light fractions (dust, fine scale) are carried away by the air stream into the dust extraction system. Heavier particles (rust, large inclusions) settle in the dirt accumulator and are removed through the nozzle into the prepared container. The largest and heaviest fractions are directed into the cavity between the deflector and the front wall of the housing, from where they are also discharged through the outlet. The cleaned fraction enters the storage hopper and returns to the working cycle.
- Pneumatic shot valves (feed valves):The shot feed valves are designed for the metered supply of abrasive from the storage hopper to the shot blasting units (throwers), as well as to completely block the shot flow when the equipment is stopped. The valve is controlled by a pneumatic cylinder: the stem moves the locking blade, opening or closing the hopper outlet. When the valve is opened, the shot flows by gravity through flexible sleeves into the loading windows of the throwers. When the shot is blocked, the shot supply stops instantly. The design of the valves ensures fast operation, tightness and reliability of multiple opening/closing cycles in intensive operation.
- Bucket Elevator:The vertical elevator (noria) is a vertical conveyor belt with buckets, due to the continuous movement of which the shot is lifted to the separator. The drive of the upper body is located in the upper part of the vertical elevator (noria); The traction body of the bucket conveyor is a belt, buckets are attached to it. The drive of the upper housing rotates the drive drum, which allows you to start moving the tape due to its friction force against the drum. There are 3 hatches for belt and bucket maintenance.: a hatch on the upper body, an inspection hatch on the right side of the lower adapter, a hatch on the lower body. The lower body of the vertical elevator is connected to the loading window of the transverse screw housing. Loaded buckets are lifted to the upper body, where the shot is discharged into the separator.
- Shot collection bunker:The shot collection hopper is an all—welded storage tank made of sheet steel with external stiffeners installed above the shot blasting units. In the lower part, pneumatic valves (feed valves) with remote control are installed, providing instant opening/closing and smooth adjustment of the shot supply to each device. The valves are designed according to a normally closed circuit, which eliminates the spontaneous supply of shot during an emergency shutdown. The hopper is equipped with a loading hatch with an airtight lid, sealed connections and operates in an aspiration system, providing stable power to the throwers without dust release.
- Overhead conveyor:A suspended conveyor is a monorail system with two hoists (suspended hoists) that provides alternate positioning of workpieces in a shot blasting chamber. While one conveyor belt with parts is being processed in the chamber, the operator attaches the following workpieces to the second conveyor belt, which allows combining operations and reducing the total cycle time. During the cleaning process, the hoists rotate around a vertical axis, ensuring uniform processing of the entire surface of the workpieces.
- FKIP 4400 dust extraction system:The filtration and ventilation unit is designed for highly efficient purification of dusty air discharged from the blasting chamber and separator. It collects fine dust, scale and microparticles of pollutants formed during the operation of the equipment. Principle of operation: Dusty air enters the dust collector housing, where large and heavy fractions settle in the lower storage hopper under the influence of gravity. Finer particles are trapped on the cartridge filter elements. The purified air is released into the atmosphere or can be returned to the work area (depending on the accepted ventilation scheme). Automatic filter regeneration system: Automatic pulse purging with compressed air (operating pressure 5-6 bar) is provided to maintain a stable degree of purification and prolong the life of the filter elements. The regeneration cycle is controlled through the controller of the control cabinet: purging is performed in rows (one row of filter elements per cycle) with a set time interval. The operator can adjust the interval and purge modes from the control panel, adapting the system operation to the degree of dustiness of the processed workpieces and the condition of the filters. Waste collection and disposal: The collected dust and large particles of pollutants accumulate in the lower bunker of the installation and are subject to periodic disposal in accordance with the environmental standards of the enterprise. The hopper is equipped with a convenient outlet for unloading.
- Cabinet with control equipment:The installation is controlled from the operator's console, which is made in the form of a metal cabinet with a lockable door that prevents unauthorized access. The degree of protection of the cabinet shell is IP54, which ensures reliable operation of the equipment in conditions of high dust, typical for shot—blasting industries, as well as protection from water splashes. On the front panel of the remote control there are: the "Network" switch – turning on the power of the control panel; the "Emergency STOP" button – emergency shutdown of the installation in case of emergency situations; touch-screen LCD display – displaying the current state of the equipment, operating parameters and setting modes
