Description
AURORA Jet 50 PFC is a single–phase plasma cutting machine of professional class with pneumatic ignition of the standby arc, a power corrector unit (PFC) and the possibility of standard connection to CNC machines.
The source is suitable for cutting any conductive material from steel and aluminum, to copper and its alloys, titanium and other metals. The maximum tested cutting thickness of steel is 25mm.
The active PFC unit at the source reduces the current consumption by up to 30% and stabilizes the input voltage, which allows cutting even in conditions of deep drawdowns of the supply network up to 90V. Initially, PFC units were designed to increase the energy efficiency of welding equipment and reduce interference that sources relay to the general power supply network. According to the idea of the engineers, the power factor corrector should smooth and align the angles of the voltage and current phases. The concomitant effect of installing this unit in the devices was the ability to work with low supply voltage values, high stability of the plasma jet and minimal interference emission to the general power supply network. Devices with a PFC unit tolerate working with extension cords better and load generators less when connected to an autonomous power source.
The standby arc of the device, with pneumatic ignition, ensures a successful start of the process on any surface and in any spatial position, not only from the edge of the product, but also on the "burn". Instant transition from a standby arc to a working one.
