The Narodnoye Opolchenie station of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line (BKL) has opened in Moscow – now more than 170 thousand residents of the Mnevniki district will be able to use the new metro.

In the construction of this BKL station, the most modern European Hilti technologies were used, which made it possible to speed up the finishing and installation works and complete them on time in accordance with the decree of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.

Монтажные системы Hilti на станции Народное ополчение 2.JPGIn the decoration of the station, the Hilti facade system is used, which makes it possible to quickly carry out installation and cladding, hiding all the engineering networks inside and leaving a beautiful and functional interior made of aluminum honeycomb panels outside. The design of the system consists of two parts: a galvanized MR subsystem for the perception of wind loads and loads from the weight of the cladding, and an aluminum VFH system for high installation accuracy and creating a unique interior.

All the construction materials used in the metro, including the Hilti facade subsystem, comply with the fire safety class KM0 and have the appropriate fire certificates for all types of cladding. In the interior of the station, dark granite and cold light metal are used, which symbolize the valiant struggle and victory of the people's militia against the invaders in different periods of Russian history.

"Narodnoye Opolchenie" is the eighth station of the Moscow metro, built and put into operation with the use of Hilti elements for fixing the lining of the track wall. This solution meets the high requirements of the metro for reliability and safety, which is especially important for the daily service of 10 million passengers, " commented Nikolay Cherednichenko, Head of Transport and Infrastructure Projects at Hilti in Russia.

BKL was designed for the convenience and time-saving of 3.3 million residents of Moscow from 34 districts of the capital. About 200 thousand people live and work near the station "Narodnoye Opolchenie", the expected passenger traffic is 29 thousand people per hour. In the future, there will be a transfer to the projected Rublevo-Arkhangelsk metro line. The general designer and general contractor is Mosinzhproekt JSC.

"The introduction of new stations is a kind of driver for the development of the new Mnevniki district, in which administrative and residential development will develop. It will also relieve the central lines: Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Filevskaya, " said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.
