  • Material and base: The cutting plate is made of high-quality fine-grained hard alloy TTK (Tungsten-Titanum Carbide) with a multi-layer wear-resistant coating (TiN, TiAlN or a combination thereof). The coating provides increased heat resistance, reduces abrasive and diffusion wear, extending the durability of the tool by 3-5 times compared to the uncoated alloy.
  • Profile geometry A1: This is a universal radius profile with a triangular plate shape and negative geometry. The key characteristic is a large radius at the top (usually 0.8, 1.2 mm or more), which ensures:
    • High cutting edge strength.
    • Smooth and high-quality chip formation.
    • Excellent quality of the treated surface (reduced roughness).
    • The ability to work with higher feeds.
  • Precision machining: All cutting edges and surfaces of the chip breaker are subjected to fine diamond finishing (grinding or polishing). This minimizes micro-staining, reduces cutting forces and heat, ensuring a stable process and a long service life.
  • Chipbreaker: The A1 profile is equipped with a modern chip-crushing groove, optimized for a wide range of feeds and cutting depths. This is critical for the safe and trouble-free handling of viscous materials.
  • They are installed on tool holders 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and also on the tool holder for replacement plates of the Mira machine.
