Working line of Torus welding machines
TORUS devices are available in 2 categories - professional line and working line. Today we will consider the working line.
The working line includes 5 devices: Torus-165; Torus-175; Torus-200; Torus-200c; Torus-210.
TORUS-165 - welding inverter with a maximum welding current of 165 Amperes opens the working line of TORUS inverters. Despite the reduced dimensions and weight, the TORUS-165 has a high PV, which allows you to work confidently and continuously with an electrode of 3 mm and above, as well as in TIG mode. The device maintains its operability at low mains voltage values. The attractive price and reliability of the device make it a necessary tool for home use.
TORUS-175. One of the most popular devices in Russia for 10 years was the TERMINATOR rectifier. Tens of thousands of these devices have dispersed across the country and abroad. To date, it has been discontinued, but there are many fans of this device. Therefore, its analogue was created using not an outdated rectifier circuit, but an inverter converter - a welding inverter TORUS-175.
It is close in its technical data to the TORUS-200, but has a lower welding current - up to 175 Amperes, which is quite enough for home use, and, accordingly, a slightly lower price. At the same time, the TORUS-175 device retained all the main winning characteristics inherent in the working line devices: MMA\TIG welding, low weight, high PV, the ability to work from a weak power grid with significant drawdowns, ease of operation and high reliability.
TORUS-200 is a modern inverter welding source with NAKS certification, based on a digital high-frequency network voltage converter. This method provides high stability of welding parameters, high efficiency, energy savings and ease of welding. The device is designed for electric arc welding of low-carbon, alloy and stainless steels, can work in TIG, MMA modes. Obtaining high-quality welding seams does not require a highly qualified employee, which is important for novice welders.
It is convenient to work with the device in any areas of industry, in agriculture and communal services, in garages and workshops, as well as on household plots, especially with an unstable network. In the short-circuit mode, the device consumes practically no current, which allows the device to be powered from gasoline units with a power of 4 kW (6 kVA) and a household network with drawdowns up to 165 V.
TORUS-200, like other inverter welding machines of the TORUS line, allows you to get welding with stable parameters. It is characterized by: small weight - 5 kg, high efficiency and the ability to work with electrodes from 1.6 to 5 millimeters thick (even without a three-phase network). A welding inverter of this type can be located near welding operations and therefore allows you to abandon a long welding cable (due to its small weight). In addition, the welding inverter 200 is designed for continuous operation not only indoors, but also outdoors.
TORUS-200c, having all the capabilities and advantages of the TORUS-200 device, has a PV = 100% at a maximum current of 200 A. Thus, it is safe to say that with the TORUS-200c welding machine, the welder can work a full working shift without overheating the device.
This model can be recommended both for welding work on industrial and construction sites, and for use in everyday life: whether it is a country house, garage or a small workshop. When retrofitting, it can work in TIG mode.
TORUS-210 differs from TORUS-200 by the presence of a digital current indicator on the front panel of the device. This indicator allows you to pre-set the welding current with an accuracy of up to one ampere.
Also in this device, the initial welding current is lowered to 20 A. The introduction of these additions creates the possibility of comfortable work for the welder, especially in the TIG mode (argon-arc welding), as well as in the small and medium ranges of welding currents in the MMA mode (welding with a piece electrode). In addition to this, the TORUS-210 differs from its predecessor by an increased maximum welding current.
All TORUS devices are designed to work in unstable Russian electrical networks with large voltage drawdowns. TORUS welding machines can operate at a "low" network up to 165 V. All TORUS welding machines can also work from a gasoline generator with a power of 4 kW or more.
