TOR LLC, a manufacturer of welding inverters TORUS, was formed in 1992.

The first welding equipment released in the 90s - the TOR contact welding machine, the TERMINATOR welding rectifier, the TORNADO-160/180m semi-automatic machine, VD-306/400, have proven themselves as reliable and high-quality equipment. Developed and manufactured in 2001, the Torus-200 welding machine was one of the first Russian–made inverter-type devices. Its technical parameters were not inferior to foreign analogues of European production, and the price was much lower. In the production of printed circuit boards, electronic components, power units and modules for TORUS devices, modern high-tech equipment is used. In the electrical base of welding machines, in its main part, only components from leading American and European manufacturers are used. All production and assembly of TORUS inverter welding machines takes place only in Russia by highly qualified and carefully selected personnel, without the involvement of foreign labor.
