ORION NICK expands welding equipment: corner profiles for butt and branded seams.

Protective corner profiles for butt and branded welds manufactured by NIK ORION are devices that are used in sheet metal welding. They are held in the area of the reverse side of the weld by hand or using vacuum kits (which are purchased separately).

Main characteristics of corner profiles

• Sizes. About 70 × 35 mm (width × height).
• Length. Production of profiles up to 6 m long is possible.
• The composition of the set. The kit includes a corner profile (1 pc.), a gas hose (10 m) and a set of fittings for the gas hose.
• The possibility of manufacturing according to TK. The profiles can be manufactured according to the customer's specifications.

Using suction cups

When using suction cups for an angular profile, the following number of suction cup retaining tires is recommended, depending on the length of the profile:

• for lengths up to 500 mm, 1 retaining tire with 2 suction cups;
• for lengths from 500 mm to 1000 mm, 2 retaining tires with 4 suction cups;
• for lengths from 1000 mm to 1500 mm - 3 retaining tires with 6 suction cups;
• for lengths from 1,500 mm to 2,000 mm, 4 retaining tires with 8 suction cups;
• For lengths from 5,500 mm to 6,000 mm, there are 12 retaining tires with 24 suction cups.

The use of suction cups without a vacuum system (pump) does not guarantee a long-term tight fit of the protective angular profile to the surface to be welded.
