Romek Rope slings
Lifting rope slings are used where increased strength of lifting devices is needed that can maintain it in the most difficult situations. General purpose cargo rope slings are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of Federal norms and regulations in the field of industrial safety "Safety rules for hazardous production facilities where lifting structures are used, GOST 25573, RD 10-33-93 and TU 3178-006-88596348-2009, are used in construction, industrial, transport and warehouse enterprises in climatic areas with temperate and cold climates according to GOST 15150 and are produced in the form of single and serial products.
The coefficient of safety margin of rope slings in relation to the calculated breaking force of the rope must be at least 6. The coefficient of safety margin of connecting elements and grips of slings (except ropes) in relation to the destructive load of these parts must be at least 5.
Advantages of rigging by rope type
The sling is made of steel rope. The following types are available:
- Branch rope slings with links for hanging on the crane hook and connecting the load.
- Looped, used for direct binding of cargo.
Branch modifications, in turn, are divided according to the number of branches fixed with a special sleeve to one suspension attached to the crane hook. Slings of different lengths are available.
Such models are characterized by the following operational capabilities:
- The destruction of the rigging does not happen instantly, you can have time to avoid an accident.
- Ease of use.
- Low price.
- Low tensile strength, even under dynamic loads.
Sometimes they are noted for their considerable weight, but this is a small price for the benefits that they bring.
Scope of rope rigging
Cargo rope slings are often used for construction. In this area, their resistance to dynamic loads is important. And they are very typical for construction work. A four-branch rope sling is mainly used, used to move concrete slabs, pallets with building materials and other tasks.
Metal rope slings can work in different conditions:
- In areas with temperate and cold climates, all strength characteristics are preserved in full, up to frosts of - 60ºC. Some models can operate in heat conditions of 100-150ºC.
- In hot workshops, where the temperature can rise to the level of +150-400 ° C, slings are used based on a reduction in their load capacity by 25%.
It is not worth using them above 400ºC.
Compared with ribbon rigging, ropes significantly benefit in strength and wear resistance. The simplest option – single–branch - is usually used in pairs, but allows you to do with one, for example, to lift one edge of the load. Two-loop cables are especially popular, having loops on both sides for attaching to the crane hook.
