Rotabroach

Rotabroach is an English brand with headquarters in Sheffield. The company is a leader among manufacturers of magnetic drilling equipment and cutting tools for them. Offers portable machines proven by many years of experience for drilling holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

In the early 70s, the English engineer Mr. Dough Hougen invented the Rotabroach core drills and laid the technology of ring drilling, as a completely new system for creating holes by cutting, in the foundation of the company with the same name — 1975.

For a long time, the engineer could not convince industrialists of the need for changes and did not receive interest from large sellers of construction tools. The first positive feedback came directly from the builders, who up to this point had been using "portable" drilling machines weighing about 100 pounds (45 kg) with rapidly wearing out and often breaking spiral drills. The crown drills proposed by Hougen were safe, did not burst and did not break out of the spindle, but did not solve the problem of the weight of the drilling machine itself.
