Magmaweld

Magmaweld is a Turkish manufacturer of welding electrodes, MIG/MAG wires and TIG rods, powder wires, submerged welding wires and welding fluxes, welding equipment, welding accessories and automation systems. Oerlikon Kaynak Electrodlary ve Sanayi A.S. was founded in 1957 as the first company of the group for the production of welding electrodes under the license of Oerlikon-Buehrle AG.

In 1996, in order to reduce costs, strengthen the leading position in Turkey and turn Magmaweld into a global brand, two old factories in Istanbul were transferred to a new modern factory in Manisa, located in western Turkey. In 2010, a second factory was also opened in Manisa for the production of high-tech welding equipment, as well as for the creation of robotic automatic systems.

The MAGMAWELD brand was created as an analogy between the molten core of the earth - magma (MAGMA) and a welding bath (WELD POOL).

Magmaweld highly values technical education and since 1961 has been involved in the education and training of thousands of welders, conducting regular free courses. This service helps to increase consumer awareness and technical competence in the industry.

Why Magmaweld hardware?

	Each equipment undergoes a functionality test and a welding test at the end of assembly lines. Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement system to standardize operations and quality levels. All machines have CE, LVD, EAC and EMC certificates. The components comply with RoHS requirements.
	The metal body is made of 0.8mm thick sheet metal with an electrostatic powder coating. Plastic covers are made of PA6.6, glass-fiber reinforced material. Serial numbers are engraved on the plates. The warranty is 2 years and statistically our fault rate does not exceed 3%
	Prototypes of the equipment must pass rigorous vibration, drop and thermal tests. Electronic circuits are designed for normal operation with generator sets and weak power grids in rural areas where voltage fluctuations are quite high. The equipment can operate in hot environments up to +50 C, thanks to efficient cooling and high-temperature protection of components. The new equipment designs use energy-saving technologies, thermal and cooling control, which are used to ensure a longer service life, a lower fault coefficient, higher energy output, together with automatic fan speed control, reduced dust ingress, lower fan noise and a longer fan life.
	All electronic boards are designed and manufactured at the factory. Production is carried out in an electrostatic discharge protected zone, in automatic SMD lines with unique barcodes, in order to be able to track quality throughout the entire production and service life of the equipment. All single-phase machines undergo vibration installation before the end of the assembly line test to ensure that there is no loss of connection contact. Hot silicone protects critical contacts against possible breakage so that the equipment is resistant to vibrations and shocks during its service life. The conformal protective coating of electronic cards is adapted for use in harsh environmental conditions, meaning high humidity, salty and dusty air
