The history of DeWalt

• 1922— Raymond E. DeWalt, design engineer, then managing Seabrook Farms, designs the world's first radial cantilever saw, which served for decades an example of quality and durability. The invention made it possible to achieve greater accuracy and productivity in woodworking processes. One such machine replaced the work of four workers.
• 1924— In Leola, Pennsylvania, R. Dewalt founded the DeWalt Products Company, specializing in the production of stationary equipment for wood processing, including radial cantilever saws. The main product was a universal woodworking machine called DeWalt"Wonder-Worker".
• 1929— DeWalt Products Co. moves to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
