GAZPROM PERERABOTKA BLAGOVESHCHENSK LLC

About Company
ООО "ГАЗПРОМ ПЕРЕРАБОТКА БЛАГОВЕЩЕНСК"

The Amur Gas Processing Plant (hereinafter referred to as the Amur Gas Processing Plant) in the Svobodny area of the Amur Region has been under construction since October 2015 as part of Gazprom's Eastern Gas Program. The design processing capacity is 42 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. A large-scale infrastructure has been created for the construction of the Amur Gas Processing Plant in the adjacent territories: 27 km of access roads, a pier on the river Zee, about 40 km of railway tracks.

The size of the plant's main construction site is about 900 hectares (comparable to the area of 1,100 football fields). During the construction, more than 430 thousand cubic meters of concrete were poured, more than 170 thousand tons of metal structures were installed (comparable to the weight of 23 Eiffel Towers). The overall status of the Amur gas processing plant construction project in 2024 was 93.15%.

Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (part of the Gazprom Group) is the investor, customer, and operating organization of the Amur Gas Processing Plant. The general contractor of the construction project is JSC NIPIGAZ.

The Amur Gas Processing Plant receives multicomponent gas from the Chayandinsky and later Kovyktinsky fields via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. With the help of state-of-the-art equipment and advanced cryogenic technologies, the plant separates the raw gas into fractions, which will be sent for deep processing and use in the gas chemical and other industries of Russia. The Amur Gas Processing Plant construction project includes six technological lines with a capacity of 7 billion cubic meters. m per year each, as well as three helium purification and liquefaction plants with a capacity of 20 million cubic meters. m of gas per year each.

The Amur Gas Processing Plant uses products from Russian machine builders. In particular, for the first time in Russia, St. Petersburg has mastered the production of key equipment — spiral heat exchangers for helium installations. Powerful Ladoga gas pumping units are supplied to the Amur Gas Processing Plant. About 1,000 equipment suppliers and over 100 contractors were involved in the project. At the Amur Gas Processing Plant site, at peak times, the number of construction personnel is about 35 thousand people.

The phased launch of the remaining Amur Gas Processing Plant lines is synchronized with the development of Gazprom's production facilities in Yakutia and the Irkutsk Region. After reaching full capacity, the Amur Gas Processing Plant will annually produce:

  • 38 billion cubic meters of purified methane fraction for supplies to China;
  • 2.4 million tons of ethane;
  • 1.5 million tons of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG);
  • 200 thousand tons of pentane-hexane fraction;
  • 60 million cubic meters of helium.
