JSC "NIIGRAFIT"

The State Research Institute of Graphite-Based Structural Materials "NIIgrafit" was established for the comprehensive study and development of special types of carbon materials and products made from them, their introduction into mass production, coordination of research and design work of plants and organizations of the RSFSR on the profile and subject of the Institute. The Institute's scientific developments have been implemented at the country's electrode plants, its own production facilities, and are widely used in nuclear engineering, aviation, metallurgy, space technology and other industries. The Institute of JSC "NIIgrafit" has developed more than 400 brands of carbon materials and products.

Currently, JSC "NIIgrafit" is an enterprise of the State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" — one of the active growth drivers of the Chemical Technology Unit of JSC "Science and Innovation", which is part of the Innovation Management Unit of GC "Rosatom".
