Description
Ermenrich Ping ET50 is a megaohmmeter (insulation resistance meter) with 5 test voltages and an upper measurement limit of 200 gω. It is designed to determine the humidity of insulation (absorption coefficient, DAR) and residual resource (polarization index, PI). Periodic measurements of these parameters make it possible to identify cables with damaged insulation in time, dry or replace them, and prevent short circuits and fires in the power grid.
In addition to the main functions, the tester has additional ones. It can be used to measure DC and AC voltage or to ring the cable to detect an open or short circuit. Measurement results and active modes are displayed on a backlit LCD display. It is possible to keep the result on the display if it is not possible to view it immediately (Hold function). The minimum and maximum values, as well as the operating settings, can be stored in the device's internal memory. There is a built-in flashlight to illuminate the workspace.
