Description
Type:The compositions are two-component systems consisting of a semi-finished product of the composition and hardener No. 5 (TU 6-10-1093).
The semi-finished product of the composition HS-500 is a suspension of pigments in a solution of vinyl chloride copolymer with vinyl acetate in a mixture of organic solvents with the addition of epoxy resin, plasticizer and corrosion inhibitor.
The semi-finished product of the HS-500 K composition is a suspension of pigments in a solution of vinyl chloride copolymer with vinyl acetate in a mixture of organic solvents with the addition of epoxy resin, plasticizer, corrosion inhibitor and rust converter.
Scope of application:The compositions XC-500 and XC-500 K are designed to protect the external surfaces of equipment, metal, reinforced concrete structures and pipelines from corrosion in the industrial atmosphere of chemical industries exposed to aggressive gases and other chemical reagents with a temperature not exceeding 60 ° C as independent coatings, as well as for protection in complex multi-layer coating with weather-resistant enamels, varnishes of the type XC, XB, EP, ML, PF. The composition XC-500 K is designed for painting metal surfaces with remnants of tightly adhering rust (the thickness of the layer of corrosion products is up to 100 microns).
Surface preparation:Preparation of the surface of the product for painting with the composition of HS-500 is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the TNPA for the product, GOST 9.402 or STB ISO 12944-4.
Oil, grease, marking paint, dirt and other substances, such as mineral impurities, water-soluble salts, affecting the quality of surface preparation, must be removed from the metal surface. It is necessary to remove notches, burrs, welding splashes, round off sharp edges, corners, teeth and welding seams. Then the surface must be thoroughly cleaned of rust, scale and other contaminants, dust-free, degreased and dried. It is most carefully necessary to clean the surface in the area of welds up to 3 cm wide from the remnants of fluxes, alkaline slags and oxides formed during welding.
To improve the protective properties of the surface, it is recommended to pre-clean by sandblasting or shot blasting to the degree of purification from oxides 1-2 according to GOST 9.402. Painting should be done no later than 4 hours after surface preparation.
On welds, end edges and hard-to-reach places, the composition is applied with a brush in the form of a "strip layer" before painting.
Previously painted surfaces are cleaned of fragile layers of the old coating, the old coating is removed, the entire surface is cleaned mechanically, dedusted, degreased and dried. If the type of old paintwork is not known, then it must be checked for compatibility (it is recommended to carry out a control staining of a small area of the surface). In case of swelling or peeling, the old coating must be removed.
Before applying the composition of HS-500 K, the metal surface must be cleaned of the old loose coating, dust, dirt, loose rust and scale, dust-free, degreased and dried.
To avoid condensation of moisture, the temperature of the painted surface must be at least 3 °C above the dew point temperature.
Painting is not allowed during precipitation, as well as on wet and icy surfaces.
Reinforced concrete surfaces should be clean, dry, durable, without cracks, loose areas, dust and dirt. If necessary, reinforced concrete surfaces are cleaned dry (with brushes) and dust-free.
Application:Before use, semi-finished formulations are thoroughly mixed, 2.6 mass parts of hardener No. 5 (TU 6-10-1093) are added to 100 mass parts of semi-finished formulations, then the formulations are thoroughly mixed, diluted with solvent P-4 or P-4A
(GOST 7827) in an amount of 10 - 60% of the mass of the compositions and applied by pneumatic spraying. When applied with a roller or brush, the compositions are not diluted.
The consumer independently selects the working viscosity depending on the production conditions (ambient temperature in the room, the diameter of the spray nozzle, the working pressure of compressed air and other factors).
In case of storage at low temperatures, the primer-enamel is kept in a warm room before application (to avoid condensation of moisture on the surface to be painted during painting).
To obtain an independent coating, the compositions are applied in 4-5 layers with intermediate drying at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C for 10-15 minutes and final drying at a temperature of (70 ± 2) ° C for 3 hours or at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C for 24 hours and relative humidity (65 ± 5) %.
The compositions used in the complex coating as a primer layer (under enamels and varnishes of the type XC, XB, EP, ML, PF) are applied in 1-2 layers. When applying two layers of compositions, the interlayer drying is 10-15 minutes at a temperature of (20 ± 2) ° C. Final drying of the coating at a temperature of (70 ± 2) ° C for 3 hours or at (20 ± 2) ° C for 24 hours and relative humidity (65 ± 5)%.
The exposure time of the coating before use is at least 7 days.
The thickness of the single-layer coating should be at least 25 microns. In the case of surface cleaning by sandblasting or shot blasting, the coating thickness should be increased taking into account the degree of surface roughness Ra (GOST 2789).
The consumptionof compositions for a single-layer coating is 130-160 g/m2 without taking into account the complexity of the surface to be painted, the method of application, color, personnel qualifications and other factors.
Storage: Semi-finished formulations should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C, in a tightly closed container, protecting from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep away from fire. After using the formulations and hardener No. 5 for its intended purpose, the container with product residues should be tightly closed with capping agents and sent to a household landfill.
Precautions:During the painting works, as well as after their completion, it is necessary to thoroughly ventilate the room. Persons involved in the painting work must be provided with personal protective equipment (overalls, goggles and rubber gloves).
Work with hardener No. 5 is carried out in rubber gloves, overalls and protective glasses, as well as in a well-ventilated room. In case of contact with the skin, hardener No. 5 is washed off with plenty of soap and water. The dried coating does not have a toxic effect on the environment and the human body.
