Description
The voltage relay with power limiter RE RM–14 kW series is designed to limit and control power consumption in a single-phase electrical network, protect the line from overload, and consumers from fluctuations and surges in mains voltage (voltage Relay function).
The device combines the functionality of several devices:
- a power limiter;
- voltage relay;
- ammeter;
- voltmeter;
- a wattmeter.

The principle of operation
The device is controlled by a microcontroller that analyzes the voltage in the power grid, current consumption and calculates the power of the connected load with the display of values on digital indicators.
The current measurement is performed using the built-in current transformer. Switching of the load is carried out by an electromagnetic relay.
The device is equipped with a voltage relay function, the parameters of which (upper and lower voltage limits and turn-on delay time) are set by the user. The device shuts off the load if the voltage value exceeds the set limits. The load is switched on automatically after the voltage returns to the set range.
The power limiter can work with both a household power grid with a frequency of 50 Hz and voltage sources with an unstable "floating" frequency (generators, etc.) For this purpose, a frequency control mode selection function is provided.
To set up the power limiter, it is necessary to set the maximum power limit, the power on/off delay time and the number of power-on cycles when switching off at the power limit. If the power consumption is exceeded, the load will be switched off with a delay set by the user. The load shutdown time depends on the amount of power consumed.
All user-defined values are stored in non-volatile memory.
