JWDS-1836 is a modern model of a drum grinding machine with the possibility of installing brushes for brushing wood. The traditional layout with a cantilever arrangement of the working unit allows grinding parts whose width is twice the length of the drum or brush.
The height above the conveyor belt is regulated by the rotation of the handle, while it is possible to control both the absolute value on the millimeter scale on the body and the relative movement along the limb on the handle. The parallelism of the shaft and the base is adjusted without the use of an auxiliary tool: two latches and a screw stop are equipped with wing handles.
The conveyor belt drive is equipped with a smooth speed control with the SandSmart electronic system, which adjusts the set value depending on the amount of load on the engine. If it reaches a critical value (for example, the thickness of the workpiece has increased) the speed of the conveyor will automatically decrease, and later, as soon as the conditions allow it, it will automatically return to the previous level.
In the standard delivery version, the machine is equipped with an aluminum drum with an abrasive belt winding. Thanks to the proprietary fastening system, its replacement is quick and easy. Access to the node is released after the dust collector cover is folded back, the ends are fixed with snap clamps, tension is produced by a special spring device that compensates for pulling the tape during wear.
As an additional equipment, roller brushes are offered, with the help of which it is possible to brush wooden blanks. Depending on the type of such roller and the processing mode, the effect of artificial aging is achieved with a sharp distinct manifestation of the structure of the wood fibers, simple grinding with the removal of "pile", or an intermediate result with a shallow manifestation of texture. To convert the machine into a brushing machine, it is necessary to purchase a special shaft (option art. RB.JWDS1836M.410), universal brushes 410 mm are subsequently mounted on it and the assembly is installed instead of the drum. This procedure is performed without disassembling the machine and does not require special qualifications.
