JWDP-12 is a professional grade desktop drilling machine suitable for universal (wood and metal) applications. The main distinguishing feature of this model is the V–belt variator, which allows smoothly steplessly changing the spindle rotation speed. This mechanism design speeds up the adjustment depending on the drilling diameter: instead of removing and then installing the belt, it is enough to move the lever, and do it without turning off the motor. At the same time, the actual spindle speed will be displayed on a digital display, which is especially important when working with metal, when the restrictions on the speed of rotation of the cutting tool are much stricter than when working with wood.
The machine is equipped with a massive cast-iron table with T-shaped grooves for fixing the vise. The table is mounted on a cast bracket, rotates around its axis and tilts left and right at an angle of up to 45 degrees. The bracket moves up and down the column thanks to a rack-and-pinion mechanism with a rotating handle. The working surface for installing the vise is also milled on the base, which allows you to work from it, having previously removed or turned aside the table.
The pinole is fed by a standard steering wheel with three handles, with a limb on its axis to control the drilling depth. Besides. there is a screw limiter with its own millimeter scale, which facilitates the adjustment of the position of the stop nut. The weight of the moving part (spindle, quick-release chuck, cutting tool) is partially compensated by a spiral spring, which can be changed preload.
There is an LED flashlight with a switch to illuminate the working area and a laser pointer of the drilling axis.
