The Jet JTS-600XL circular saw is a unique machine with a combination of characteristics and cost. The basic package already includes a movable table (carriage) and an extension to it. The expander is equipped with an adjustable telescopic support and an end stop of the workpiece. The end stop is rotatable, which allows you to make cuts at a precisely set angle. To fix the workpiece, an adjustable end limiter can be used; if it is not needed, it reclines.
The basis of the saw design is a metal pedestal, inside of which an asynchronous three–phase motor is installed, mechanisms for adjusting the height and angle of inclination of the saw module (it is made of cast iron casting) and a dust collector casing with a 100 mm connection pipe to the exhaust system. The working table is cast iron, a rigid cylindrical guide runs along it, along which a parallel stop with an eccentric fixation moves – these solutions fully comply with the professional standard. The working surface can be increased by installing an expander and an extension made of sheet steel – they are normally supplied with the saw.
Taking into account the maximum (1600 mm) length of sawing on a movable table and the relatively small weight of the machine, it can be recommended for amateur and professional work with medium-sized furniture panels made of chipboard and glued board, and work with heavy blanks made of solid wood should be limited at the level of occasional use.
