Description
A compact device for measuring cable lengths up to 1 km, as well as for diagnosing cable lines: searching for breaks, short circuits, crossed, split and inverted pairs. It allows you not only to detect the location of an open or short circuit, but also to determine at what distance it is located. There are functions for searching and tracing the desired cable in the bundle (flashing indication), determining the port to which the cable is connected, as well as testing the Ethernet connection (PoE test) and data transfer rate (PING test). The received data is displayed on a color LCD display with a resolution of 320x240 pixels.
The meter works with network cables of categories 5E/6/6A/7, electrical, telephone and others having a metal conductor. Measurements are carried out using the pulse reflectometry method. The device can be calibrated for maximum accuracy. Protection against electromagnetic interference is provided. The device is powered by an 1800 mAh lithium rechargeable battery. The transmitter operates without recharging for up to 20 hours, and the receiver for up to 50 hours. There is a power-saving function: when idle, the meter automatically turns off.
