Description

Purpose of the testo 330-1 LL flue gas analyzer:

Any fuel-burning plant, regardless of the technology used, must operate in an optimal mode. Issues of compliance with relevant requirements, reduction of energy consumption and reduction of pollutant emissions are of the highest priority today. In order to realize the optimization potential most effectively, it is necessary to perform regular checks of the operation and configuration of heating systems. Updated versions of flue gas analyzers Thanks to new featuresThe testo 330-1 LLandtesto 330-2 LLwill provide you with even more professional and reliable support when setting up the operating mode of heating systems.

The new color display of the testo 330 LL flue gas analyzer visualizes measurement data graphically: Self-explanatory graphs, intuitive symbols and a color palette for displaying data greatly simplify the procedure for analyzing measurement data.

Measurement of CO concentration in the environment:

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless and odorless toxic gas that is the product of incomplete combustion of fuels containing carbon (oil, gas and solid fuels). When carbon monoxide enters the bloodstream through the lungs, it actively binds to hemoglobin, blocking the transfer of oxygen to tissue cells, resulting in death by suffocation. Thus, it is extremely important to control the concentration of CO in the flue gas hotspot, in the locations of fuel-burning installations for hot water supply systems, as well as in other adjacent areas.

Flue gas measurements for setting up burners (CO,O2and temperature):

Measurements of flue gas parameters for testing in heating systems make it possible to determine the amount of pollutants released into the environment with flue gases (e.g. carbon monoxide – CO or carbon dioxide – CO2), as well as calculate the heat loss with flue gases. In some countries, the requirements for measuring flue gases are prescribed in the legislation. The adoption of such laws has two main objectives: 1. Maximum possible reduction of emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere; 2. Efficient use of energy. It is forbidden to exceed the established maximum permissible values of pollutants in the atmosphere. The compliance of the measured values with the maximum permissible values is monitored during normal operation (measurements are carried out using appropriate instruments before each system start). For measurements, the end of the tube of the sampling probe is placed in the center of the chimney, where the temperature and concentration of flue gases are highest. The measurement data is recorded by the flue gas analyzer and can then be printed or transferred to a PC for further processing and analysis. Measurements are carried out by the installer of heating systems during commissioning, and then, if necessary, four weeks after commissioning, by a chimney cleaning engineer or a representative of the supervisory authority. In the future, regular measurements are carried out at regular intervals, which are carried out by an authorized service engineer.

Pressure measurement (gas pressure in the nozzle, gas flow pressure):

Basic measurements when setting up residential heating systems include checking the gas pressure, which, in turn, includes measuring the gas flow pressure and static gas pressure. Measuring the pressure of a gas flow involves measuring the pressure in the supply pipe, and static pressure measurements determine the pressure distribution in the quiescent gas. If the gas flow pressure of the gas boilers exceeds the range from 18 to 25 mbar, operation is not permitted. If, despite the discrepancy between the values, operation is carried out, the burner's functionality is disrupted, and an explosion may occur when adjusting the flame, which leads to the failure of the burner, and therefore the entire heating system.

Temperature measurement on radiators:

When carrying out measurements on radiators, the service engineer, in particular, determines the temperature of the medium in the supply and return pipelines. In other words, the temperature of the supply and return of the coolant (e.g. water) is measured, due to which the process of heat transfer in the fluid takes place. In order to avoid heat losses in the distribution heat network and ensure an appropriate level of efficiency, it is necessary to carry out regular spot temperature measurements in the supply and return pipelines. To set up heating systems, hydraulic adjustment is necessary, for which it is necessary to know the temperature of the medium in the supply and return pipelines. In accordance with this, in heating systems for all radiators or heating circuits, the required value of the medium temperature in the supply pipeline is set, and the amount of coolant is precisely determined. Thus, the ambient temperature value required for each specific room is achieved. Violations of operating conditions lead to overspending of electrical and thermal energy. In Germany, according to the Federal Regulation on Energy Conservation (EnEV), hydraulic adjustment is mandatory during the commissioning of heating systems.

Features of the testo 330-1 LL flue gas analyzer:

  • High-resolution color display for graphical representation of measurement data.
  • Additional measurement menus, such as "Solid Fuel" and "Gas Pipe Inspection", allow for a comprehensive analysis of the heating system.
  • Data logging function for easy recording of measurement curve.
