The TSS Standart diesel generator is designed for operation in the backup power supply mode for any general-purpose facilities. It is most advantageous to use a backup diesel generator at facilities where power outages are rare and redundancy is mandatory, as part of a project or other requirements.

The power source of the generator set is the TSS Diesel engine. The engines are manufactured by order of TSS Group at advanced factories in China, under the terms of ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) contracts. This model is based on the technologies of the penultimate generation of engines, which are maximally tested and ensure a high level of reliability during operation of the DSU in normal modes. A cast iron block, a reliable injection pump, a mechanical speed control for low– and medium-power models, and maintainability in the field are all distinctive features of this brand of engines. For a backup diesel generator that can run 2-3 hours per year of operation, the most important parameter is low price and high reliability, so it does not require the latest technology, high efficiency, low consumption inherent in other DSU TSS series. The engine runs on inexpensive and universally available engine oil, and its cooling system uses the equally common and widespread antifreeze.
TSS SA synchronous generators are used in all lines of diesel power plants of our production, including budget series, as well as premium ones, produced for the main power supply of the most critical facilities in the loaded mode. This means that even low-cost DES TSS models use advanced and reliable alternators. Almost all models of synchronous generators of various brands are manufactured in China today, and TSS SA is no exception in this matter, the models of this line are produced specifically by order of TSS Group at several selected plants that meet the highest international standards. All models of TSS SA electric generators are manufactured with insulation class H and winding protection class IP21 (IP23), which meets the typical requirements for such devices. The TSS alternator models are equipped with the classic SHUNT winding excitation system, which fully meets the requirements of the vast majority of basic diesel power plant applications.
Scope of delivery
TSS diesel generator sets are supplied fully equipped, filled with technical fluids in the required volume and ready for operation. The engine, radiator, and generator are mounted on a sturdy, rigid steel frame with an integrated fuel tank. All diesel generator sets are tested for at least 2 operating hours.
