Dear partners!

The warehouses of the company OPM in St. Petersburg and Moscow have received screws for machine-building fasteners.

DIN 913. Hexagon socket head set screw with flat end

din_913_vint.jpgThe DIN 913 set screw has an internal hexagon head and a flat end. The hardware is a partial analogue* of the standard GOST 11074-93 - Russia and ISO 4026 - international standard. But when choosing, it is necessary to remember that in certain cases it is necessary to install a product standardized strictly according to the required standard. Since even minor discrepancies in technical parameters can lead to significant negative consequences.

When installing the set screw in question, it is necessary to use a hex key to secure the fasteners being connected. The DIN 913 screw is made of galvanized carbon steel or uncoated stainless steel.

Characteristics:

  • Material type: Steel / A2 / A4 / Ms / polyamide / A1 / 40X / AISI 316 / Ti (titanium)
  • Coating type: Zn / zinc flake coating / no coating / flZnyc|Znncl 480h / flZnyc|Znncl 720h / black flZnyc/Znncl 720h
  • Strength class/hardness: 14H / 22H / 45H / Gr2
  • Shape: BSW / UNC / UNF
  • Thread type: metric / fine metric / inch UNC / inch UNF / inch BSW

DIN 914. Hexagon socket head set screw with conical end

din_914_vint.jpgThe DIN 914 screw is used in mechanical engineering for various connections of structural elements. The application is also associated with the use of nuts, washers, of appropriate sizes. The material used is steel, stainless steel, as well as various alloys, including brass.

Depending on where and under what conditions you plan to use the DIN set screw, you can purchase this product with the appropriate strength class. You should not neglect such an important parameter, as this is fraught with unpredictable consequences.

Characteristics:

  • Material type: Steel / A2 / A4
  • Coating type: Zn (zinc) / Ni (nickel) / uncoated / flZnyc|Znncl 480h
  • Strength class/hardness: 45H
  • Form: BSW / UNC / UNF
  • Thread type: metric / fine metric / inch UNC / inch UNF / inch BSW

DIN 915. Set screw with internal hexagon and cylindrical end

din_915_vint.jpgDIN 915 set screws with a cylindrical end are used to lock various parts together. Pre-drilling in the material or special thread cutting is required for installation. The DIN 915 screw is made of different types of steel and has an internal hexagon.

The product complies with several standards - German, Russian and international. When ordering, it is advisable to buy an element of exactly the standard you need, since minor discrepancies can lead to some unpleasant situations.

Characteristics:

  • Material type: Steel (steel) / A2 / A4
  • Coating type: Zn (zinc) / Zn yellow pass. / uncoated
  • Strength class/hardness: 45H
  • Shape: M / UNC / UNF
  • Thread type: metric / fine metric / inch UNC / inch UNF

DIN 916. Set screw with internal hexagon and drilled end

din_916_vint.jpgIf you need to buy a screw of the DIN 916 standard, then you should take into account several important factors when choosing it:

  • Strength class. Depending on the loads expected to be applied to the set screw, the strength class should be selected based on these data;
  • Material and coating. The material from which the DIN 916 screw can be made is also of great importance. In addition, the coating should be selected based on the conditions in which the product is to be used. For example, a screw made of stainless steel or with an additional coating is well suited for an aggressive environmentm – galvanized zinc.

The presence of analogues* of DIN 916 in the standards of other countries significantly simplifies and expands the choice of this metal fastener, but some features of each of the listed standards should be taken into account. In total, some minor deviations from the original DIN 916 standard may pose a threat to future connections. You should be more careful when choosing such a product.

Characteristics:

  • Material type: Steel (steel) / A2 / A4 / A1 / Ti (titanium)
  • Coating type: Zn (zinc) / Zn yellow pass. / ZP 8 DiSP / uncoated / flZnyc|Znncl 480h
  • Strength class/hardness: 14H / 45H
  • Shape: UNC / UNF
  • Thread type: metric / fine metric / inch UNC / inch UNF

DIN 7991. Countersunk head screw

din_7991_vint.jpgCountersunk head screws DIN 7991 countersunk head hexagon socket screws of various strength classes, which largely depends on the material used in production. DIN 7991 screws are usually used in construction, industry and other industries with other fasteners, such as nuts, bushings, washers with the corresponding dimensions.

DIN 7991 screws are available in a wide range of thread sizes. It should also be taken into account that they can be made of different types of metal - aluminum, brass, stainless steel. If you have a galvanized screw of this type in front of you, then it is most likely made of carbon steel, since fasteners made of carbon steel are usually galvanized.

Characteristics:

  • Material type: Steel (steel) / A2 / A4 / Ms (brass) / Al (aluminum) / polyamide / 40X / Ti (titanium) / A2-80 / A4-70 / A4-80
  • Coating type: Zn (zinc) / Zn black pass. / Zn yellow pass. / Zn-Ni (zinc-nickel) / Cr (chromium) / Ni (nickel) / Oxide (oxide) / zinc flake coating / no coating / flZnyc|Znncl 480h / black flZnyc/Znncl 480h / flZnyc|Znncl 720h / black flZnyc/Znncl 720h
  • Strength class/hardness: 4.8 / 5.8 / 8.8 / 10.9 / 12.9 / Gr5 / Gr8
  • Form: BSF / TX / UNC / UNF / full thread
  • Thread type: metric / fine metric / inch UNC / inch UNF / inch BSF
  • Thread length: full / partial

ISO 7380-1. Round head screw

iso_7380_vint.jpgISO 7380 Round head screw with internal hexagon. This fastener is used in many areas of production. Various washers and nuts of the corresponding parameters are also often used with this product. You can see the characteristics of the fastener in question in the table.

*M2 and *M2.5 - are not included in the standard. Screws with these dimensions are manufactured similar to the ISO 7380 standard.

For screws with a length below the lengths indicated in the table, the thread, at the discretion of the manufacturer, may not be made to the screw head. In these cases, the thread length may lie in the range from a minimum of 2d+12 mm to a maximum within the indentation from the head of 2p.

Characteristics:

  • Material type: Steel (steel) / A2 / A4
  • Coating type: painted / Zn (zinc) / Zn black pass. / Zn yellow pass. / zinc flake coating / no coating / flZnyc|Znncl 480h / black flZnyc/Znncl 480h / black flZnyc/Znncl 720h
