Turning cutters of the Киржачский инструментальный завод
The main type of metal-cutting tool for forming the geometric shape of a part, including the inner surfaces of shaped parts, threading and chamfering, are turning tools.
Cutting operations are an integral part of turning operations. For these purposes, cutting cutters are most often used, a wide selection of which is presented in the catalog Kirzhach Tool Factory
Straight cutters
cut-off direct incisors are actually a universal tool. & nbsp; cutter cutting T15K6 & nbsp; (or its analogues) allows you to:
- Cut blanks;
- Separate the finished product;
- Make grooves.
At the same time, a flat plane is formed at the end of the part strictly perpendicular to the central axis.
According to GOST 18884-73, turning cutters have a thin end part, the length of which determines the maximum possible depth of the groove or the diameter of the part to be cut. At the top of the cutter, a hard-alloy plate is soldered, the material of which is indicated when marking this tool. The most commonly used & nbsp; cutting cutter VK8, T15K6 and T5K10. The narrow cutting edge is parallel to the workpiece axis or at an angle of 10˚. Also, according to the displacement of the end part, the left and right incisors are separated.
Double-sided straight cutting tools
The double-sided straight cut-off cutter is reassigned to separate the machined part from the workpiece, as well as cutting a groove of the required depth. A double-sided cutter is essentially a copy of a regular cutter, but it has two blades. For the manufacture of such cutters, less metal is required. And since one double-sided cutter replaces two conventional ones, the buyer saves up to 20% on its cost. Additionally, it can be noted that the time to approach the machine is reduced.
For turning work, such cutters will be a real find. They can be used for the following purposes:
- Cutting blanks;
- Department of finished products.
Reverse cutters
Reverse cutting cutter (cockerel) is designed for cutting large diameter. A feature of this tool is an increased overhang, a curved shape, and a cutting edge located at the bottom. Work with such a cutter is performed with the reverse rotation of the spindle.
The peculiar geometry of the end part provides the cutter with:
- High strength to withstand high torque loads on the part;
- Increased rigidity for depth of cut;
- Increased surface area for heat dissipation.
The reverse cut-off cutter allows you to cut at a higher speed, but with a changed direction of rotation. This technology has the additional advantage of free removal of falling chips.
Reverse turning cutters with reinforced insert mounting (KIZ design)
In addition to other advantages of reverse cutters, this cutter has a plate soldered into a special groove, that is, the connection between the plate and the holder is very strong.
Kirzhach Tool Factory offers a wide range of turning tools and guarantee their quality.
