Machine tool vise TMK series

TMK.pngThe vise is used for precise machining of parts on milling machines, grinding and other machines. They have a high clamping force, which allows you to securely fix the workpiece. They have a high repeatability. The use of a hydraulic drive ensures a stable clamping force of the part, an increase in equipment productivity by at least 20% due to an easy and quick change of parts, a reduction in employee fatigue, which allows one operator to service a larger number of machines.

Classic block with screw

The kit block, screw, sponge is universal. It is mounted on two bolts, loosening which you can move the block on the surface of the vise. The screw itself gives a sponge stroke of 51 mm and a clamping force of 5000 kg.

Wedge-shaped sponge with screw

The sponge moves over the entire surface of the vise with the help of a bar located inside the housing, which moves along the groove and is fastened with two bolts. The clamping of the part is carried out thanks to the bolt, which is located at an angle. This type of clamping provides high repeatability (1 micron). The clamping force is 1,500 kg.

Hydraulic drive powered by a pneumohydraulic converter

By pressing the button of the manual distributor (1), air is supplied with a pressure of up to 8 bar to the piston of the pneumohydraulic converter with a diameter of 125 mm (2). The piston presses on the hydraulic cylinder with a diameter of 18 mm (3), which creates a hydraulic oil pressure of 390 bar. Thus, there is a 48-fold increase in pressure. Oil through a hydraulic tube presses on a hydraulic cylinder with a diameter of 32 mm (4), which creates a sponge stroke (5) up to 21 mm and a force of 3 (three) tons. A pneumohydraulic converter with a hydraulic cylinder provides a high clamping speed. TMK vise can be equipped with a classic "screw – sponge" set, which provides versatility and a wedge-shaped sponge with a screw located at an angle, which gives increased repeatability (up to 1 microns). THE HYDRAULIC CYLINDER IS INSTALLED IN A STANDARD TMK SERIES VISE HOUSING.

The possibility of installing a clamping mechanism in any part of the vise housing, or combining several mechanisms on one housing

The vise is equipped with clamps and a stop for basing the part.

All parts of the TMK vise are interchangeable with parts of other models of the series having sponges of the same size. The components can be placed on the base in a convenient location, deployed, removed, etc., since the TMK vise is modular.

Optionally, the TMK series vise can be mounted on a special swivel base.

The precision TM mechanical vise is designed for fixing parts when performing various types of workpiece processing on metalworking machines. The adjustment of the vise to the size of the clamped part is made by moving the stop of the part. The part is clamped due to a screw pair and a wedge mechanism.

The vise consists of a housing with an internal wedge mechanism, a screw pair, a working sponge and a part stop.

Working principle

Twisting the Tg18 screw lowers the oval rod by 10 mm.

The wedge principle of coupling an oval rod with a sponge simultaneously presses the sponge to the surface of the table and moves it around the table by 5 mm.

Holes for pins D 4 mm on the table and in the stop make it possible to move the stop in increments of 1 mm.

Installation rules

  1. Install the vise on the machine table by securing the vise body with clamps according to GOST 13152.
  2. Setting the width of the clamp of the vise. Move the sponge to the extreme position by unscrewing the Tr18 screw until it stops. Press the part against the sponge, then use the pins to adjust the position of the stop of the part so that the gap between the part and the stop is 1-2 mm.

    Optimal tightening force of the stop bolts = 120-140 Nm.

  3. IMPORTANT! Do not allow the tightening force of the Tr18 screw to exceed 100 Nm.

Security

  • The upper surface of the vise, the surface of the sponge and the stop of the part should not have cracks, chips and crumpling of the metal.
  • The fastening of the vise must be reliable, eliminating spontaneous loosening during operation.
  • The movable parts of the vise must move freely – without skewing and wedging.
  • It is forbidden to apply a shock load on the parts of the vise.
