Continuing to survey various segments of the professional industrial tool market, we would like to turn today to the bench fitting tool.

There are a great many types of bench-mounting tools (mass media), however, as well as areas of its application. Each media is distinguished by its characteristic features: when it comes to working with metal, then, accordingly, the hardness of the alloys from which the tool itself is made is important. If you have to work with electricity, then the tool must have electrical insulation. In certain cases, the media is required to explode. Leading to a common denominator, we can distribute the media in the following groups:

Today, the media market in Russia is saturated and growing steadily, which is associated with the demand for the tool. Market saturation is achieved mainly due to imported products - more than half of the media in the Russian market imported. The current trend towards import substitution is not so noticeable. Maintaining competitiveness for Russian media producers is achieved by constantly improving the quality of their goods.

Traditionally, we consider the key Russian media producers and evaluate their scale by gross profit for 2018/2017 (the balance sheets for 2019 have not yet been processed by Rosstat):

Kamyshin plant of fitter's and assembler's tool (KZSMI) - gross profit for 2018 - 69.3 million ₽. For 2017 - 128.66, which is 47% less. At the same time, there is a slight increase in net profit and revenue in 2018.
Novosibirsk Tool Plant (NCD) - in 2018 10.21 million ₽ (for 2017 - 26.60 million ₽), i.e. -38%.
Foundry and Tool Plant (LIINZ) - 6.8 million ₽ // in 2017 - 7.5 million ₽, i.e. -10%.
KVT - 109.34 million ₽ (for 2017 - 134.67 million ₽), i.e. -18%. At the same time, there has been an increase in expenses in the reporting period.
Sitomo - grow from year to year, showing hundreds of percent growth in net profit (+ 600% for the analyzed period).
Ekometr - 1.03 million ₽ (in 2017 - 1.1 million ₽), i.e. -6%.
