Thermal expansion sealing tape INVAMAT 710 with an applied adhesive layer is a flexible tape, from 1 to 10 mm thick, which is designed to seal joints of enclosing fire structures, such as:

  • Fire doors (installed along the inner perimeter of the door frame, or along the outer perimeter of the door leaf);
  • Pipe penetrations (installed along the outer circumference of the pipe);
  • Sealing of ventilation passages through enclosing structures and floor slabs.

Under the influence of open fire and high temperatures, the INVAMAT 710 tape increases in volume, filling the free space in the junction, thus blocking the penetration of fire and smoke.

Advantages

  • Versatility and ease of use-to install the sealing unit of the pipe passage, it is enough to cut off the tape of the required length and paste it on the pipe, then place it in the passage. The pipe penetration assembly mounted in this way does not protrude beyond the overlap and enclosing structure, it looks more aesthetically pleasing, which allows for better finishing work and avoids the use of fire protection couplings.
  • Compact during transportation and storage (1 roll of thermal tape with a diameter of 100 mm. replaces 10 couplings of equal diameter.
  • The tape is made in various thicknesses and widths, with and without an adhesive layer, which makes it possible to successfully solve a wide range of tasks.

After installation, it is allowed to paint the tape, or apply another decorative coating.

Instructions for use

Before starting the installation, make sure that the cables are installed and secured according to the standards. Place the first layer INVAMAT CP 651 iN, if possible, under the cable duct. During the subsequent laying of pillows, it is necessary to leave an overlap of at least 20 mm on each side. Fill the opening tightly. To obtain the necessary density, it is recommended to tamper the cushion on the plane before placing it in the opening.

When installing in a horizontal ceiling, it is necessary to use a wire mesh (wire > 5 mm in diameter / grid < 50×50 mm). Secure it from below with anchors. Fire protection cushions should be laid on a grid, offset by 1/2 of the width of the next cushion.

The free space between the cables must be filled with INVAMAT CP 651 iN fire protection mastic. After installation, it is necessary to make sure that the cushions are installed correctly and there are no voids left in the passage.

Are not intended for use

  • With pipes made of corrugated or spiral wound material and cast iron
  • In highly corrosive environment
  • In places immersed in water
  • In installations with a high level of smoke generation
