Invamat fire-resistant sealants

Share:

Fire-resistant sealants are an important and necessary element in construction and repair, where safety and fire protection come first. They are highly resistant to fire, smoke and other fire hazards, which ensures reliable protection of buildings, structures and people from their spread.

Invamat is a manufacturer of high-quality flame retardant and other materials for construction and repair intended for professional use.Fire-resistant sealants occupy an important place in the range of Invamat's product range.

Heat-expanding fire-resistant mastic Invamat 611

611-Vedro-i-katredzh.pngHeat-expanding fire-resistant mastic invamat 611 - is used for sealing through holes in barriers made of brick, concrete, foam concrete and other non-combustible materials in order to prevent fire from penetrating through the barrier during a fire.

Area of application: To fill the free space in holes made in barriers after laying cables (single or bundles), pipes made of flammable materials, and metal pipes in them.

  1. Maximum hole diameter - 200 mm (or maximum area 300 cm²);
  2. The maximum diameter of pipes made of non-combustible materials is 50 mm;
  3. Maximum filling (% of hole area) - 60.

Recommendations for use

  • Clean the hole from dust and dirt.

  • Fill the free space of the hole, including the gaps between cables, with INVAMAT-611 mastic. The depth of filling with mastic is 40±5 mm on each side. (For barrier thicknesses over 100 mm, to save mastic, the inside of the hole can be filled with “ROCKWOOL” type mineral wool).

  • Level the sealing surface with a spatula until the mastic sets. To improve ductility during leveling, moisten the surface of the mastic with water.

The seal acquires its main performance characteristics after 48 hours.

The carbon nanobodies present in the mastic provide a catalytic effect of increasing intumescence and make it possible to obtain a high-strength layer of carbonized foam coke, which provides the necessary fire resistance limit for cable penetrations through walls and guarantees reliable fire protection of cables.

Advantages of fire retardant mastic

Mastic for cable penetrations is not inferior in characteristics to the best developments of leading manufacturers of similar products, has an affordable price and a number of the following advantages:

  • Simplicity and ease of use. The product is ready to use and can be easily painted after drying. In addition, installation of cable penetrations with INVAMAT 611 mastic does not require special equipment or highly qualified personnel. The resulting structures allow for the installation of additional lines.
  • Plasticity of dried material. The sealing surface maintains its integrity during the settlement of buildings/structures and the laying of additional cable lines.
  • High tightness. Mastic and sealed cable penetrations do not allow combustion products, water, and gas to pass through.
  • Safety. The product is non-toxic, does not contain solvents and halogens.
  • Durability. Long service life is due to a large margin of safety, chemical and weather resistance.

Fireproof acrylic sealant Invamat 606

606-3-.pngFireproof acrylic sealant invamat 606 has a viscous consistency and excellent performance properties. INVAMAT 606 has a high degree of adhesion to most building materials: wood, glass, aluminum. It is resistant to moisture, temperature changes and UV radiation.

The sealant localizes the spread of open flames and prevents smoke from entering the room. Therefore, it can be used in a wide range of areas: for fire protection of various building structure systems, at the junction of pipelines and the passage of cables withthrough the walls and ceilings of buildings. It is indispensable as a fire barrier, for the protection of gypsum partitions, metal ceilings, floors, walls, ceilings, and can be used for processing expansion joints in joints of structures made of metal, wood, stone, processing ventilation and cable systems.

Recommendations for using Invamat 606 sealant

Fireproof sealant INVAMAT 606 does not require any special skills or additional equipment. It is easily applied to the surface manually, using a spatula or a special gun. The surface to be treated must first be cleaned and degreased.

It is necessary to apply fireproof sealant INVAMAT 606 in a layer, the thickness of which is determined by the fire safety requirements of the given project. It should be noted that during installation work and subsequent operation, the surface should not release resins, oils, solvents or other chemically aggressive substances.

After applying and drying the sealant layer, it can be painted with water-based compounds. In most cases, the use of a primer is not required. When working, you should use personal protective equipment: protect your eyes, respiratory tract and open areas of the body, in accordance with generally accepted standards.

Prohibited

  1. Use on surfaces immersed in water.

  2. Use with building materials that release oils, plasticizers, solvents (impregnated wood, oil-based sealants, vulcanized rubber, etc.).

Fireproof silicone sealant Invamat 601

601-1.pngFire Retardant Silicone Sealant INVAMAT 601 is a silicone based sealant that provides maximum flexibility in fire resistant and pipe penetrations.

Areas of application of Invamat 601 sealant

  • Sealing joints between walls and ceilings
  • Sealing flange connections of air ducts
  • Sealing holes when laying steel pipelines
  • Do not use on objects submerged in water
  • Do not paint

Benefits

  • For penetrations subject to deformation up to 25%
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Improves gas, smoke and water
  • UV resistant
  • Applicable for joints up to 200 mm wide
  • Halogen-free

Instructions for use

Cable penetrations, steel pipe penetrations, sealing expansion joints.

Clean the hole: the sides and surfaces to which INVAMAT 601 silicone sealant is applied must be sound, dry and free of dust, dirt, oil. Fill the penetration (seam) hole with non-flammable mineral wool with a density of at least 40 kg/m3, so that there is space left for the sealant. Using a dispenser, apply sealant to the specified depth. Level the sealant layer with a damp spatula. After this, let the sealant dry. Attach a label indicating the installer, material and date of installation (if required).

Sealing of butt flange connections of air ducts.

Clean the hole: The sides and surfaces to which INVAMAT 601 silicone sealant is applied must be dry and free of dust, dirt and oil. Apply a continuous layer of fireproof silicone sealant INVAMAT 601 with a thickness of at least 1 mm to the flange of one air duct. Align the duct flanges and secure according to the duct manufacturer's instructions for use.
