New - carpentry planers with planing width up to 270 mm
New items in the BELMASH model range are four models of carpentry planes with a planing width from 200 to 270 mm.
They are produced at the BELMASH plant in Mogilev.

About the characteristicsThe planes are almost identical in most characteristics. The engine is a collector, with a power consumption of 1500 watts — the same on all models. The speed of rotation of the knife shaft, the length of the tables, the range of adjustment of the planing depth are the same. Only the planing width and, accordingly, the overall width and weight of the tool change. The younger model planks a 200 mm wide strip in one pass, the older one — 270 mm. Actually, it is this parameter that is "sewn" into the marking, and it is not difficult to guess that 230 and 250 are the planing width in millimeters for two "medium" planes. |
The working surfaces of the planes are made of aluminum alloy, the body itself is made of cold–rolled sheet steel. The deviation from the plane does not exceed 0.25 mm.

About securityThe inclusion scheme is interestingly implemented. When you get to work, you put the plane on the surface of the workpiece, take hold of the handles, as expected, remove the lock ... push the rear handle, it leans forward, closes the microswitch — the engine turns on. On the weight, it will not turn on unambiguously. So BELMASH models are safer than the vast majority of planes, where the activation is carried out by a standard button with a lock. |
