Washers DIN 433, DIN 434, DIN 440

Enlarged DIN 440 furniture washer

din-440-r.jpg

A furniture flat washer is a fastener that serves as a gasket between a bolt, screw or nut and the part being fastened. It increases the support surface and prevents unscrewing of the elements. For an aesthetic appearance of the connecting elements, washers are made of galvanized steel. The DIN 440 washer is one of the most common elements used in woodwork.

The enlarged DIN 440 washers are also made of electro-galvanized and hot-dip galvanized steel. The size is selected taking into account the size of screws, nuts or bolts. The washer is used in complex connections, as it tolerates various environmental influences well. When using a flat washer, the pressure on the parts decreases and the mounting area increases, which makes the connection more reliable.

  • The washer is made of steel and stainless steel A2 and A4.
  • The coating can be uncoated or zinc coated.
  • The washer indicates the actual diameter of the hole (for example, d5,5, d6,6, d9), and not the nominal size (for example, d5, d6, d8).
  • Execution forms: R shape – with a round hole; V shape – with a square hole.

DIN 434 oblique washer with two grooves

din-434.jpg

The oblique washer is used to align the slopes of the channel shelves 8% according to DIN 434 and 10% according to GOST 10906-78. It is installed under the heads of bolts or nuts. This washer is also called a wedge washer. It is made of rolled, strip or sheet steel and has two grooves. In some cases, the DIN 434 oblique washer can be replaced with a similar DIN 435 washer with a large slope of 14% and one groove.

The choice of an oblique washer depends on several factors, including standard, material and coating. It is important to take into account the slope and other parameters, which may differ depending on the standard (DIN or GOST). The most versatile sizes are D17.5 (for M16) and D22 (for M20). You can choose a washer with the desired size and coating, for example, uncoated, with zinc or hot zinc.

  • The washer is made of steel and stainless steel A2 and A4.
  • The coating can be uncoated or zinc coated.

Flat narrow lining washer DIN 433

din-433.jpg

The DIN 433 narrow washer is also known as a "reduced washer" or "lining washer". This element is widely used in mechanical engineering, but other industries actively use a flat washer in production. We can produce narrow washers with the required parameters, if it is not standard DIN 433.

Sometimes unforeseen situations arise when purchasing products such as the DIN 433 narrow washer. Although it may seem simple, the consequences can be serious. To avoid unpleasant surprises, keep in mind the following points:

  • GOST, ISO, EN and DIN standards may have different parameters, such as the outer diameter and thickness of the product;
  • the washer material can be steel, stainless steel, brass or copper;
  • the coating must comply with the operating conditions, for example, it can be zinc or uncoated.

We offer to buy a narrow washer according to DIN 433 standard with diameters from 2 mm to 10 mm. This size is considered the most versatile and suitable for most applications. However, do not forget that there are other sizes of washers on our website.

din-935-1_2.jpg

The DIN 935 crown nut is a common type of fastener used in various industries and the furniture industry. It has metric and inch threads and is used together with suitable bolts, screws or studs. After installing the nut and aligning the holes with the slot, the splint connection is made.

The choice of this type of fastener depends on compliance with Russian and international standards, as well as on the conditions of use. If you need a DIN 935 standard crown nut, then you should choose this particular standard. The design options depend on further operating conditions and include: carbon steel, stainless steel and brass.
