General characteristics of Metallekt monolithic carbide drills
- Material. Hard alloys that are resistant to mechanical stress and temperature fluctuations.
- The shank. It is usually cylindrical, which allows the use of drills in drills, screwdrivers, drilling machines or machines, lathes and other CNC machines.
- Coverage. An additional coating (such as NaCo) is often applied to extend the service life and increase the efficiency of the tool.
- Type of cooling. Internal coolant supply, which improves chip removal and cooling during deep drilling.
- Drilling depth. Metallekt monolithic carbide drills are available in several versions, differing in drilling depth - 3xD, 4xD, 5xD, 7xD, 10xD.
Metallekt monolithic carbide drills, drilling depth: 3xD, 5xD and 7xD
These tools are designed to solve complex tasks in processing high-strength and difficult-to-process materials and meet modern industrial production requirements.
Drills 3xD

Applicability: Structural and cemented steels, cast steel, improved steel, alloy steel up to 1200 H/mm2, carbon steel, bronze, cast iron, high-alloy AlSi alloys
Metallekt monolithic carbide drills with a straight groove, drilling depth: 4xD, 7xD and 10xD
Metallekt monolithic carbide drills with a straight groove and drilling depths of 4xD, 7xD and 10xD are designed for processing high-strength and difficult-to-process materials. They are characterized by increased wear resistance, precision machining and the ability to work with deep holes.
Drills 4xD
Model example:
Monolithic carbide drill bit with a 4xD straight groove, MD850G series, internal coolant supply, d-3.7 mm
|
|
Applicability: cast iron.
Drills 7xD
Model example:
Monolithic carbide drill bit with a straight groove 7xD, MD850AL series, internal coolant supply, d-4.8 mm|
|
Applicability:Aluminum and aluminum alloys with high Si content.
Drills 10xD
Model example:

|
Applicability: cast iron.
Metallekt spiral carbide drills with cylindrical shank, drilling depths: 3xD and 5xD
Metallekt's spiral carbide cylindrical shank drills are available in the MSN series and are designed to work with a variety of materials, including hardened steel, bronze, light and non-ferrous materials, abrasive alloys (AlSi), fiberglass and duroplastics with an emery effect. They are available in drilling depth versions 3xD and 5xD, which determines the ratio of the length of the working part to the diameter of the drill.
Drills 3xD
Drills with a drilling depth of 3xD have a working part, the length of which is three times the diameter of the tool. They are suitable for applications where a moderate hole depth is required.

Model example:
Spiral carbide drill bit with cylindrical tail 3xD, MSN series, d-3.2 mm
Applicability: Cast steel, cast iron, hardened steel with Mn, bronze, light and non-ferrous materials, abrasive materials (AlSi alloys), fiberglass, duroplastics with emery effect
Drills 5xD
Drills with a drilling depth of 5xD have a longer working part (five times the diameter), which allows for deeper holes.

Model example:
Spiral carbide drill bit with cylindrical tail 5xD, MSN series, d-4.9 mm
Applicability: Bronze, cast iron, tempered steel with Mn, fiberglass, duroplastics with sandpaper effect, steel casting, light and colored materials, abrasive materials (AlSi alloys).
