Application of wear-resistant coatings
To apply wear-resistant coatings to tools, stamping tools and other machine-building products, the METALLECT production center uses a modern complex based on the pi111 installation (PLATIT AG, Switzerland). Its advantage lies in the implementation of LARC technology (LArc Rotated Cathodes). Due to the lateral rotating cylindrical cathodes located close to each other, the deposition of the coating occurs with a minimum of droplet phase particles, and the resulting surface has increased resistance and at the same time elasticity, significantly increasing the service life.
The PLATIT n111 installation allows you to operate an extended list of types of coatings, including both monolayer and multilayer, nanolayer and nano-composite.
Types of coatings performed:
- single-layer (TiN, TiAlN, AlTiN, etc.);
- multi-layered (TiAlN-ML, AlTiN-ML, etc.);
- nanogradient, nanolayer, nano-composite and their combinations (nACo, nACRo, AlTiCrN, etc.);
- three-layer Triple Coatings3® (NaCO3®, AlTiCrN3®, etc.).
To achieve optimal results, Metallekt uses an integrated approach that helps to prepare the tool for coating as efficiently as possible, monitor the entire process in automatic and manual mode, and perform the necessary technological operations of the post-treatment cycle.
The coating complex, in addition to the basic PLATIT p111 installation, includes:
