End mills (series 1)

AF190

End mills AF190 - can be both right (R) and left (L), have one type of plates – CN.. 120408. This milling cutter is a representative of the first series. It is used on universal machines and has a simple plate geometry. The method of fastening plates for the entire first series is standardized by GOST 26595-85. The plate is first attached to the holder, the holder is attached to the cutter body.

Best use: processing of planes and ledges

AF167 (pentahedral)

The AF167 cutters can be produced both right-cutting and left-cutting, have one type of pentahedral plates PN.. 110408. In terms of processing, it resembles the 190 series, but here the main angle in terms of 67 degrees, respectively, the ledge that it forms will have the same angle.

Best use: plane processing

AF100

AF100 - can be both right-cutting and left-cutting, have one type of plates – RN.. 150400.

End face cutters (series 1)

AE190	AE167	AE100

AE190 – can be both right-cutting and left-cutting, have one type of plates (CN.. 120408). They are optimal for processing planes and ledges.

AE167 – can be both right-cutting and left-cutting, have one type of plates (PN.. 110408). They are applicable for processing planes, as well as chamfers.

The plates are also fixed in accordance with GOST 26595-85, as with end mills. They differ in the shape of the plate and the angle in plan, 90 and 67, respectively.

AE100 – have round plates, mainly used for roughing.

The first series of cutters “Russian Tool” is the most common because of the simpler geometry of the plates and is a good choice for economical processing.

End mills (series 2): AF290 and AF245

AF245

AF290 and AF245 – are produced only by right-cutting and have one type of plates: ZDCW 1503 and ZDCW 2004, respectively. This series is also used on universal machines, but due to a more rigid design, it can be used on CNC machines. These plates are more complex in design than in the first series.

AF245 – can be both right-cutting and left-cutting, have one type of plates SEHW 1204 AFTN. They will be used for processing chamfers and planes.

End mills (series 3)

AF390

AF390 - presented by right-cutting, and also equipped with coolant. They have two types of plates: APKT 11T3 and APKT 1604. This milling cutter can be used both on CNC machines and on universal machines.This type of milling cutter has plates with a complex cutting edge, which increases the choice of the type of processing.

Application: processing of planes, ledges, as well as grooves and the possibility of embedding at an angle.

Since the method of fixing the plate occurs immediately to the body, the milling cutter becomes more rigid, because of this, the quality of the milling surface improves. The internal coolant supply provides higher productivity compared to the milling cutters of the previous series.

Recommendations for choosing a series of milling cutters

Series 1 cutters are a more economical option: a simple cutting edge, fastening occurs through a holder, due to which this series is less rigid than series 2 and 3. End mills of series 2 and 3 are more accurate and can be used on CNC machines, they also have higher productivity than the cutters of the first series. Despite the fact that the cutters of the 2 and 3 series are more expensive, we recommend purchasing them, because due to their versatility and increased productivity, they quickly pay for themselves.
