The 165 mm long KNIPEX CutiX is the first knife with break-off blades produced by the German tool manufacturer KNIPEX in its almost 140-year history.

This, of course, is not an ordinary knife for cutting carpets or boxes. KNIPEX is famous for its innovative solutions and has developed a very flexible, retractable stabilizing bar for the KNIPEX CutiX universal knife, which makes the tool particularly versatile in use, allowing you to work faster and cut with greater precision. For example, the stabilizing bar ensures that the elongated breakaway blade remains rigid, which allows you to apply pressure directly to the back of the blade more confidently.

As for the material from which the case is made, KNIPEX engineers chose magnesium for its strength and light weight. As a result, the weight of the universal knife is only 111 grams, which makes it as light as a plastic knife and ensures that it will remain a reliable companion even after many years of intensive use.

The universal knife KNIPEX CutiX also differs from simple knives for cutting carpets or boxes in many other details: separate sliders for the blade and the stabilizing strip are flat and do not protrude from the body. Thanks to this, a thin knife with a latch fits comfortably and ergonomically in the hand and eliminates the accidental inclusion of sliders.

Thanks to the numerous anti-slip grip zones, the knife can be held very flexibly: for example, firmly in the palm of your hand or between your fingers, like a handle, for delicate work. The blade holder always holds the snap-off blades securely thanks to a hardened steel pin. The end of the handle is securely closed and reliably prevents the blade slider or even the blade itself from slipping.

As a bonus, a rope attachment loop for tool tethering systems such as KNIPEX Tethered Tools allows you to secure the tool to prevent injury or property damage.

The original equipment of the universal knife KNIPEX CutiX KN - 90 10 165 includes a high-quality snap-off blade inserted and ready for use, and two spare blades in the handle compartment, which can be changed without the use of tools.

A universal knife with break-off blades can hold a wide range of commercially available 18 mm blades: smooth, wavy or with hooks, for example, from such well-known manufacturers as Tajima, NT or Olfa®.
