Lessmann Disc Harness Brushes
Disc harness brushes have a wide range of applications, and we have a large assortment of them, suitable for any purpose.
Disc harness brushes for angle grinders, straight grinders and stationary machines are used in the preparation and cleaning of corner and butt welds. They remove scale, rust, paint, slag, rubber residues and can be used to remove burrs.
Ready-mounted brushes with several rows have a denser filling compared to single-segment brushes that are assembled together. They are designed for use in stationary machines.
Stainless steel brushes
LESSMANN stainless steel brushes have green side washers. We use a wire with the material number 1.4310. Material number 1.4401 is available on request. All harnesses in our standard brushes have a left-hand twist to minimize the untwisting of the harnesses in case of improper use of the brush. On request, we can supply brushes with a right-hand twist.
In addition to harnesses with left- or right-hand twist, we also offer brushes with two types of twist. Such brushes are usually more aggressive, so they are often used for heavy operations. In addition, the harnesses open less, so they are ideal for processing edges.
We recommend turning the brush over during use to preserve the pointed ends of the wire.
Brushes for cleaning seams
Seam cleaning brushes are used for the manufacture of expansion joints during the construction of new coatings, as well as during restoration and repair. The use of this brush is usually the same with all coatings. Brushes with STM latuned steel wire are very stable, so they are often used to clean concrete joints.
Pipe brushes
LESSMANN pipe brushes are specially designed for professional use on U- and V-welds in the pipeline industry. Distinctive features of high-quality LESSMANN pipe brushes are long service life and quiet operation. They are particularly narrow and therefore are an ideal tool for cleaning all welds on pipe joints.Pipeline brushes also come with left-right twist and stainless wire.
Pipe brushes with harness type B (Rosebud)
Brushes with a type B harness have a longer service life. They are used for professional processing of welds in the construction of pipelines. For more severe stripping operations, brushes with a left-right twist of the harness are used.
With filled brushes for pipelines, very precise and accurate work is possible. Built into hard plastic, the width of the brush always remains the same, and early wire breakage can be prevented. A - width of 6 mm allows you to always process U- and V-shaped seams.
Ring brushes
Cutback Brushes for removing insulation coatings.
Stripping the ends of pipes with brushes is a common process in the pipe industry. To prevent corrosion, steel pipes are usually coated with epoxy resin and several layers of polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PE). To ensure a strong and safe welded joint during pipe installation, the coating must be completely removed at the ends of the pipes. For this process, several rings of wire brushes are usually installed to get one large brush block. LESSMANN ring brushes have a long service life and are used by many international companies producing pipes for the oil and gas industry.
LESSMANN rings are supplied already mounted into each other. This ensures perfect balancing, a flat surface and a tighter fit. All rings can be purchased with left-right twist (WZ).
