SMW‑AUTOBLOK is a multinational group of companies which is a world leader in the production of clamping devices and has more than 50 offices around the world. Years of experience combined with continuous quest for technological innovations are the basis for the success of SMW ‑ AUTOBLOK.

Our products are used in machine tool industry in the production of equipment for the automotive and aerospace industry, medical, printing, and petroleum industries, and the manufacture of ships and agricultural machines.

History

The history of SMW ‑ AUTOBLOK has more than 75 years. Since we started our activities, we have grown into an international Corporation that is present on all continents.

AUTOBLOK based in Turin, Italy in 1942. Since 1946, the company began to produce cartridges, at first hand, and then with power.

In the 1950s and 1960s AUTOBLOK moves from workshop to fully industrialisierung production. The company becomes the leading manufacturer of ammunition in Italy. In the 1960-ies AUTOBLOK first sold their products abroad.

In the period from 1970 to 1974 AUTOBLOK opens branches in strategic European markets: France, UK and Germany.

In 1993 there was an Association of the brand and brand SMW AUTOBLOK. This led to the appearance of the brand SMW-AUTOBLOK recognized around the world as an indicator of reliability and high quality.

Also in the 1990-ies SMW ‑ AUTOBLOK included in the oil and gas sector with its products BIG BORE®, winning position in the industry.

2005-2015 SMW ‑ AUTOBLOK open branches in Mexico, China, India, Spain, Taiwan, Czech Republic and Sweden, thus providing a strong presence in these important markets. In 2009, a representative office in Russia

Currently SMW – AUTOBLOK does not stop there: opens new manufacturing location in Italy and branches in Poland and Turkey.
