The company "Second Wind TM", Chelyabinsk, was established in 2006 with the aim of producing thermal masks. The design of the thermal mask is the result of almost 30 years of work by the Ural inventor Igor Mineev. The mask helps the body effectively fight the cold and the associated temperature discomfort. This dramatically expands the opportunities for a huge number of people whose activities or hobbies are associated with staying outdoors in extreme temperatures.

Along with the thermal theme, the company is actively developing new areas of personal protective equipment, such as:

• anti-smog,
• bactericidal (antiviral) masks
• masks for protection from dust storms

In its activities, the company is focused on the development and production of innovative products. This was made possible through collaboration with a number of research and specialized teams.

Thanks to the St. Petersburg Institute of the Arctic and Antarctic, it became possible to test thermal masks at the Antarctic polar station Vostok in extremely low temperatures: up to – 74 °C.

Cooperation with the departments of Otorhinolaryngology and Biochemistry of the Chelyabinsk Medical Academy was realized in the form of clinical trials of thermal and bactericidal masks for safety of use. Tests of antismog masks were carried out together with the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management of the SUSU Faculty of Chemistry and the Chelyabinsk Mining Center. Tests carried out in urban areas with a high content of smog in the air showed a good result in cleaning from the main polluting components.

The effectiveness of bactericidal and antiviral masks was confirmed during clinical trials at the St. Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after Pasteur.

The latest development of the company's research team: these are masks for protection from dust storms. These masks were purposefully developed specifically for the countries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, where these dangerous natural phenomena occur quite often. It took more than two years to develop this mask. The serial production of masks for protection against dust storms is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.

The company has its own production base. Serial products are produced on a specially designed production line.
