About company
RosInstrument has come an impressive way from a small trading firm to an established manufacturer and authorized dealer of high-grade metalworking tooling.
Its history began in 2007 with the founding of RosInstrument LLC.
The first major milestone took place in 2012, when the company earned the trust of a leading domestic manufacturer by becoming an authorized sales representative of the Khrapunovo Tool Plant (KhIZ). This strengthened its market standing and solidified its reputation as a dependable partner.
In 2014, a pivotal strategic step toward self-sufficiency was taken: the proprietary "RosInstrument" trademark was officially registered. That same year, company executives launched their first business missions to China to partner with reliable manufacturers and initiate production runs under their private label. This delivered immediate practical results: the very first batches of private-label tools were manufactured, marking a genuine breakthrough and establishing the cornerstone of the future catalog. That year saw the initial production of HSS P6M5 drill bits, 9KhS alloy tool steel dies, hand and machine tap sets, as well as end mills and keyway cutters.
In 2017, the dealership portfolio expanded through another key alliance: RosInstrument became an authorized distributor for the Volzhsky Abrasive Plant (VAZ), one of the country's foremost abrasive manufacturers. In the same year, the brand made its debut on the professional exhibition circuit at "Metalworking. Welding-Ural 2017".
The ongoing investment in private-label development yielded notable results: in 2018, the first batch of proprietary solid carbide rotary burrs was manufactured and successfully brought to market.
Then, in 2019, an essential sales channel was unlocked with the launch of the official e-commerce website. Regional reach expanded as well, with the company taking part in the 7th Kazakhstan Mechanical Engineers Forum in Nur-Sultan (Astana).
In 2020, the proprietary catalog expanded to include technically demanding items such as cobalt-alloyed threading dies. The company also reached a higher quality benchmark by mastering the production of spiral flute and straight flute taps according to DIN standards, confirming full alignment with international engineering specifications.
The year 2022 brought structural reorganization. Following statutory restrictions on corporate use of the "Ros-" prefix, the company underwent legal restructuring, adopting "RI96" LLC as its registered corporate name. This change did not disrupt operations: during the same year, the company relocated to its own dedicated building, substantially expanding warehouse capacity and optimizing logistics workflows. Meanwhile, the legacy name "RosInstrument" was retained as the commercial brand.
In 2023, extensive engagement with digital marketplaces began, making proprietary-brand tools widely available on major e-commerce platforms. The company continued widening its product offering by introducing private-label lathe chucks.
2024 was distinguished by further manufacturing expansion: the first run of solid carbide end mills was released. Furthermore, the company registered a new trademark, "Vizer", created to deliver a premium product line.
For 2025, the company scheduled an advance into higher-tier manufacturing: initiating production of 3D and 5D indexable drills under the "RosInstrument" brand and launching the manufacture of indexable carbide inserts under the new "Vizer" brand.
