"Orsha tool factory" was commissioned in 1974 by the state government of the USSR as the specialized enterprise for the provision of Metalworking tools and machine tool accessories enterprises of the Soviet Union. Currently, the plant is one of the most developed manufacturers in the Republic of Belarus subsidiary, clamping and cutting tools for machine tools. More than 400 professionals and workers working in the area of about 55 000 square meters of land occupied under production buildings and offices. Range produced by the plant tool has more than 3 thousand kinds and sizes. Hundreds of industrial enterprises in the sectors of machine tool and machine building, automobile and railway transport, energy and agriculture in Belarus, the Russian Federation and other countries are regular consumers of the plant. Implementation is conducted through direct contracts and through the delivery courseprovides network abroad, which covers industrially developed regions in the European part of the Russian Federation, Ukraine and other CIS countries. JSC "SIL" is a permanent participant of specialized international exhibitions. The plant was repeatedly awarded for the high image, consumer recognition and product quality. Modern mechanical engineering in the upturn in industrial production and in the conditions of severe competition confronts producers with the task of improving the quality and reducing the cost of production. To solve these problems of industrial enterprises should be equipped with the most modern technologies, equipment and new competitive high-performance tool. Such a tool is produced by JSC "SIL". In this context, the enterprise development strategy includes the following main directions:

- increase the output of competitive products at the expense of modernization and technical re-equipment of production, increasing of its mobility in the direction of release of new products, high-tech tool;

- reloading in production capacity through the development of production of parts and components for the enterprises of the Republic of Belarus in cooperation; - hold positions in existing markets, the expansion of markets by strengthening the marketing policy and the expansion of the dealer network;

- improvement of product quality based on ISO 9001;

- implementation of measures to reduce the cost of commercial products.

The main thing today oriented production, is the further extension and improvement of the range high-precision, high-quality, reliable, multi-functional, at the level of world requirements auxiliary tool for milling and boring machines and turning groups of machines and for machine tools such as machining center. The company plans to continue increasing production. It is planned to increase the production of cutting, measuring and auxiliary tool, and also to master the production of new products. To achieve its strategic goals, the company is constantly working to improve both financial and technical components of its activities. As part of the technical development of the enterprise carried out modernization and technical re-equipment of production.

As a result of this project the company will be able to establish production:

modern cutting tools made of high speed steel and hard alloy, including precast;

- advanced high-precision auxiliary tools for lathes;

- hardening of the cutting tool and a protective and decorative coating.

Scheduled to release a new tool design correspond to the technical level of the leading firms instrumental and competitive in the markets of the Republic of Belarus, CIS and other countries.
