Based on the agreement signed by the Oktava plant, a new R&D center for the development and promotion of civil electroacoustic products has been established in the Tula region. The company is engaged in bringing the Octava brand to new product market segments and expanding the geography of supplies.
The created structure "Octave. Design and Marketing" has become a center for the development of such market competencies as marketing promotion, expansion of current and construction of new sales channels, is responsible for civil engineering, product design and conducts foreign economic activity.
The company "Octave. Design and Marketing" acts as a customer of the plant's civilian products and relieves it of the burden of financing the development, industrial design and promotion of new promising civilian products: professional microphones, including vocal, headphones, headsets for civil aviation and airport maintenance. The plans are to strengthen sales in the digital hearing aid segment.

Founded in 1927, the Tula Oktava plant produces and serially produces communications equipment, both for special and for civilian use. The main types of civilian products: microphone equipment, telephone and microphone capsules, telephone and microphone headsets. For the enterprises of the defense industry, Oktava produces intercom devices and office loudspeaker communication equipment, wired intercom systems, warning equipment, including aviation headsets.
Currently, the bulk of the studio microphones of Oktava JSC are exported to the EU countries.
Oktava is a legendary brand of electroacoustic equipment that combines the best practices of the Soviet engineering school and the latest technological solutions. The plant's microphones were used by such stars as U2, Sting, Iron Maiden and Radiohead, Marilyn Manson, Vladimir Vysotsky, the Turkish Choir, sound engineers of the Black Star label and many others. Hollywood films, dialogues in films of Unlimited Films company were voiced in "Octave", whole scenes in the Russian films "The Last Test" and "BEEF: Russian hip-hop", the TV series "Sniffer" were recorded.
