The Minsk Tool Plant was established on April 10, 1945, the first year of production activity is 1946.
To date, the company has gone a long and difficult path of development, mastering new types of products and modernizing production. In the very first years of its operation, the plant mastered the production of end, face, mounted and cylindrical mills (1947). A year later, the production of cutting and slotting mills, segments and segmented saws and hacksaw blades began (1948 - 1949). In the 50s and 60s, the company began to produce high-speed turning tools. including with carbide inserts, cutters and grooving cutters with a diameter of up to 200 mm., manual and machine hacksaw blades and much more.
By 1990, the plant not only mastered the production of numerous items of cutting metal cutting tools, but also began the production of bimetallic band saws manufactured using the Swedish Sandvik technology.
Today, the Closed Joint Stock Company “Minsk Tool Plant”, despite the crisis in the republican and world economies, continues to successfully develop new production and is still the flagship in tool production, observing the highest quality standards, national and international standards.
