Kyshtym Abrasive Plant

JSC "Kyshtym Abrasive Plant" was established in the 30s of the last century on the basis of the natural corundum deposit (Semiz-Bugu) and for eighty years has been the leader in Russia in the production of grinding and micro-powders.

The technological capabilities of the enterprise allow for deep processing and fractionation of superhard materials (corundum and silicon carbide), which are in demand on the market of abrasive, refractory and building materials.

A specific type of activity of JSC " KAZ " is the production of competitive marketable products using secondary raw materials (spent abrasive tools, scrap and scrap tools). JSC "KAZ"is the only enterprise in the Ural region that carries out certified disposal of abrasive industry waste.

Currently, JSC KAZ is actively developing and implementing innovative technologies aimed at the production of new corundum materials that have no analogues in Russia and abroad; expanding the range, improving the quality and competitiveness of previously manufactured commercial products. When processing secondary resources, methods of separation, enrichment and fractionation of materials are being improved, methods of chemical modification of corundum materials for both abrasive and refractory purposes have been developed.
