Kosulinsky Abrasive Plant

PJSC "Kosulinsky Abrasive Plant" is one of the leading manufacturers of abrasive tools and abrasive materials for industrial enterprises and trade organizations in the Russian market. The plant is located 30 km from Yekaterinburg on the territory of the urban-type settlement of Verkhneye Dubrovo and is a city-forming enterprise.

PJSC "Kosulinsky Abrasive Plant" is located in the village of Verkhneye Dubrovo, Sverdlovsk region, which is 30 km from Yekaterinburg. The history of the plant began in 1906, its first production was construction lime, and later brick. However, the date of birth of the enterprise is rightfully considered to be March 18, 1942, when the plant, which radically changed its profile, produced the first industrial batch of abrasive tools.

March 18 , 1942 - the first batch of abrasive tools was released
1945 - the beginning of the production of abrasive tools on a bakelite bundle
1949 - production of porous and high- speed wheels was mastered
1957 – the first railway dead end at the plant was put into operation. The first "PD" type presses have been installed. The construction of the Plant-tract road has been completed
1958 - the tunnel furnace operating on heating oil came into operation
1962 - 4-spindle machines were installed at the turning section of the workshop. A factory boiler house with three DCV boilers has been commissioned
1967 - the main building began to produce products - the first circles with a diameter of 500-600 mm
1969 - V.P. Smorodinnikov was appointed director of the plant
1970 - the Fata conveyor was put into operation (Italy, Turin)
1972 - the first circles were made by hot pressing. Production of "PN" circles for VAZ has been mastered
1974 - production of wheels for KAMAZ was mastered. For the first time, two positions of the circles were assigned a Quality Mark
1942 - 1975 - with an increase in the number of employees by 3.5 times, the production of abrasive tools increased 240 times
1977 - the first batches of cutting wheels were mastered and released
1978 - the reconstruction of the factory boiler house was completed with the installation of a new KVGM heating boiler
1979 – the ARP system was installed in shop No. 2
1980 - the construction of the site for the production of cutting wheels was completed
1981 - the engineering and laboratory building was put into operation
1982 - completion of the construction of the PBX. Foundation of the Museum of Labor Glory of the plant
1983 - settlement of a 119-apartment building on Uralskaya str., 8
1984 - the press of the company "G&B" (Canada) was put into operation.
1988 - start of construction of a new RMU building
1990 - installation of a hot water pipeline to the houses of the factory microdistrict
1991 - the settlement of a new 119-apartment building
1993 - the plant was transformed into an open joint stock company "KAZ"
1999 - an agreement was signed on joint activities of ATA LLC and KAZ OJSC for the production of zirconium electrocorundum
2000 - gasification of the boiler house and tunnel furnaces of the plant was completed
2001 - mastered the production of cutting wheels with a diameter of 500, 600, 900 mm, the production of circles of medium grain on a bakelite bundle, the production of circles on a ceramic bundle about 400, 500, 600 mm, the production of circles by hot pressing with a grinding coefficient of 70-75. The production of green and black silicon carbide circles on a ceramic bundle has been mastered. The development of circles for rail grinding has begun
2002 - transfer of the housing stock to the administration of the Ministry of Defense "R.P. Verkhneye Dubrovo"
2003 - commissioning of well No. 5
2004 - the modernized chamber bakelizer in shop No. 3 was put into operation
2005 - the press "MDM" of the company "Maternini" (Italy) was put into operation
2005 - mastered the technology of production of cutting wheels "Vertex" - on Italian equipment.
2006 - obtaining a certificate for a quality management system according to GOST R
ISO 9001-2001 (ISO 9001:2000)
2007 - the German line for the production of polyester packaging tape "Krepp" was launched.
2008 – According to the results of 2007 JSC "Kosulinsky Abrasive plant" is awarded the Gold badge "Finpromko". This badge is awarded annually to one of the enterprises of the association, which has reached a fundamentally new level of its development.
