Kirskabel

The founding date of the plant is considered to be 1729, when the Khlynovsky merchant Grigory Vyazemsky founded an iron foundry on the bank of the Kirs River. The products were of high quality. Evidence of this is the order for the production of tinned iron on both sides for the construction of the first roof of the Winter Palace.

The third workshop became the forerunner of cable production, and the first products of the new production profile were aluminum wire of the ATV brand, aluminum rod and copper wire.

In 1946, a complete renovation was carried out. The plant received its name "Kirskabel".

1968 – the beginning of the production of cables with mineral insulation.

Today, "Kirskabel" is actively developing, mastering new types of products, participating in investment projects. The range of cable and wire products manufactured by the enterprise is very wide.

In 2002, the production of SBZPU for the needs of the Ministry of Railways began, as well as cables with low smoke emission LS for nuclear power plants,

Since 2004, the plant has been producing LAN cables of categories 5e, 6, 7 and radio frequency cables of the RG6, RG11 type.

In 2007, JSC "Kirskabel" began producing self-supporting insulated wires of the SIP brand.

In 2008, JSC Kirskabel increased its capacity for the production of large-section plastic-insulated cables (over 95 sq. mm and up to 400 sq. mm). Today, the Kirskabel plant can produce cables of this type in the amount of 700 km per month.

In 2008, JSC Kirskabel launched a workshop for the production of cables for the needs of the nuclear industry, which produces such types of cable and wire products as fire-resistant control cables, control and power cables with FRLS and HFFR indexes. Equipment for the new workshop was purchased from leading global manufacturers - Niehoff, Davis-Standard and others.

2009 – Kirskabel JSC is the only Russian plant that began producing special high-temperature wires (AST).

In 2012, the plant mastered the production of wires with a composite core (ACCC) and compacted wires (ACsk2u).

In 2010, Kirskabel JSC began producing high-fire safety installation cables.

Since 2009, Kirskabel JSC has been producing high-voltage cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation.

In 2013-2015, the production unit was modernized and serial production of cables with a voltage of 110 to 220 kV with a cross-section of the conductive core up to 2,500 mm2 was organized.

In 2016, the Kirskabel JSC plant, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, began implementing the project "Development and organization of serial production of a new generation of high-voltage cables for voltages up to 550 kV".

To date, a high-voltage testing station has been installed. And the first 550 kV cable in Russia has been manufactured.

The Kirskabel plant is equipped with the most modern equipment for the production of cable and wire products and is one of the recognized leaders in the Russian and CIS markets.

The plant is constantly working on developing new types of cable in accordance with world standards.
