Joint Stock Company "Ivanovo Building Materials and Abrasives" is one of the leading enterprises in Russia for the manufacture of abrasive tools on bakelite, vulcanite and ceramic bundles, tools on flexible OSnew. The company was founded in 1898 as a brick production, which produced a large range of bricks for various applications in construction. Since 1968, the conversion of the enterprise into abrasive production began. A workshop for the production of abrasive tools on a vulcanite bundle was launched. The production of abrasive tools on a bakelite bundle was started in 1985. Since 2006, the active modernization of abrasive production has begun. 

The park of technological equipment has been updated. To date, the company has a unique high-performance technological equipment of well-known Italian manufacturers: Davide Maternini, Abrapress, Chiesa Artorige, Balcony, Omes. The company continues to actively develop, master new technologies. The range of products includes more than 2000 names of abrasive tools: cutting wheels, grinding wheels, stripping wheels, stripping wheels, a grinding tool that is used both in production and in everyday life. Production volumes, including OEM, are increasing annually. At the moment, the company manufactures about 3,500,000 units of abrasive tools in the assortment.

Production technology

From 2010 to 2017, ISMA carried out a complete modernization of production. The technological equipment of Soviet production has been replaced with high-performance Italian equipment of the companies "Davide Maternini" and "ABRApress". Only in 2017, 4 units of pressing equipment and a mixing machine were purchased and put into operation. Modernization of production allowed to increase the volume of production of abrasive tools by 2.5 times, up to 3 million circles per month. The packaging of the abrasive tool "ISMA" is carried out in a heat-shrinkable polyethylene film in accordance with the requirements of Russian and European standards, using high-performance packaging lines of the company "ABRApress". The productivity of the packaging area can provide high-quality packaging of up to 4 abrasive wheels per month. The presence of its own testing laboratory equipped with modern testing and measuring equipment designed to control the quality and safety of manufactured abrasive tools allows for timely identification of inconsistencies and the adoption of corrective measures. To meet the requirements of consumers, the laboratory is equipped with equipment for testing abrasive wheels for compliance with the safety requirements of Russian and European standards, as well as monitoring indicators agreed with customers.
