Scaglia Indeva S.p.A. was founded in 2004 by a separation from the "Material Handling / Materials Processing" division of Scaglia srl.

Scaglia srl. founded in 1839 for the production of wooden coils and accessories for textile equipment, it was the core from which an important industrial group with interests and activities in various sectors developed, working with factories and branches in major countries of the world and to this day is owned by the Scalia family.

In order to meet the demand from its customers for efficient systems for lifting and moving heavy loads, Scaglia srl developed in the late 70s "Liftronic", a revolutionary manual cargo handling system that can completely eliminate fatigue from manual labor, allowing you to move objects weighing up to 300 kg, having the effect of gravity cancellation.

The company was the first in the cargo handling industry to be ISO 9001:1994 certified (to date, the updated ISO 9001:2015 certificate) for the design, manufacture and sale of cargo weight balancing equipment.

In 2004, in order to promote market share growth and provide better customer service, INDEVA Scaglia S.p.A. was born, to which Scaglia's activities and know-how in the field of manual cargo movement were transferred.
