The Birth of FERG

It was in 1963, in a small shop in the historical center of Vic. Three friends carefully planned a project: to create a small workshop for the production of metal. They had the basics: trade, experience, contacts and knowledge of the sector.
They knew that they could offer something that could take off in the market. And they have the most important thing - enthusiasm. They start uncertainly, with very limited resources: meager economic means, basic tools, minimal staff... They do everything: they work as operators, clerks, salesmen... They work in difficult conditions, for many hours a day, as well as at night. And they decided to give their project a name and brand: FERG.
The initials correspond to the initial letters of the partners, FERnández and Grau, as well as the initials of the values that the company wants to offer: F(Fiabilidad) - reliability, E(Experiencia) - experience, R(Regularidad) - regularity and G(Garantía) - guarantee. The design meets precise and functional criteria: an associative symbol, three interlocking rings that represent the union between the three founding partners.
