In 1867 Wilhelm Emil Fein founded a company for the manufacture of physical and electrical appliances, where 30 years later (in 1895) his son Emil Fein invented the first electric hand drill. This invention was the basis for the durable power tools that FEIN continues to produce in Germany and for which the traditional Swabian company is valued in industry and craftsman's shops around the world.
